    We need desperately to win game 1

    If this NCarolina game stays this way we will have a really good shot but if we lose and then have to face Oregon state we will be in trouble. Their game 2 starter is very very good. We would have a much better shot against NCar.

    Small isn't as bad as Pilk is about it, but he throws a lot of pitches to get through innings. Quick innings to get him until the 7th-8th inning would be huge

    Yep, especially since we will be pitching Pilk in the 2nd game.

    Stat from earlier tonight was that 34 of the last 37 champions won game 1, so yeah we needed to win.
