For those of you who think Stricklin doesn't do a good job...

    Why?

    Because we lose football games?

Have you been reading anything since the board started? From the basketball search, the Dudy Noble situation (or lack thereof), the football schedule for this season, and several other things. Not saying I agree with everything that has been said, but I'm surprised you haven't seen why if you have been here very long.

My only beef with Stricklin is he didn't have a plan for Dudy Noble improvements initiated immediately after our CWS run in baseball. I feel that the athletic administration dropped the ball with the timing because excitement was at an all time high. There were rumors of a possible announcement at the ceremony at dudy noble when the players got back, but there was not. I also like that he cares about the fan experience at Davis Wade, but they had it right in 2010. They got away from it and it has been shit since then (video board wise). They can play Andy Griffith on loop on the jumbotron during the game and I won't care as long as we are putting a winning team with a competent coach on the field.

In all fairness, he apologized for scheduling a good team... so there's that.

    1) Dudy Noble expansion
    2) 2013 Football Schedule Failure
    3) Not taking up for our student athletes
    4) Archaic Compliance department
    5) LFL (maybe)
    6) Basketball search

I'm sure there are others that I've forgotten. He's also expands the football stadium, built a practice facility for basketball, and helped maintain a bowl streak up until now.

He's had a good record in his hires for the minor sports, and Ray tentatively look a good hire as well. That's probably the most important thing he can do.

Yea I'm not as hard on Strick as many on here, but I can definitely understand their points and frustrations. I guess I tend to do like Hack said, and remember those good things he's done as well, so it balances things out and doesn't make him seem so awful to me.

For me personally- I want to hear him out about Dudy-Noble. Based on the rumors I was hearing about what he wanted to do, it was probably good that he DIDN'T announce anything in June. As it is, I am glad that he is at least talking to MSU fans about it. If he didn't care, I doubt he would do that.

The compliance saga was totally unacceptable. It's absolutely criminal that Will Redmond was suspended for a year and a half.

The 2013 schedule was the worst thing to me. Just completely idiotic.

I get bits and pieces. I'm not defending him, just curious. He's got strengths and weaknesses in my opinion but has done a good job with the football facilities and overall fundraising.

I meant saying that they would begin the process of looking into renovating dudy noble. Mention that they are speaking with boosters and getting large contributions. They didn't have to release any specifics. It concerns me a little that we are having a question and answer forum at various locations. It makes it look like we are not sure what we want to do. I read the hardees commercial comments on the Facebook page and it leads me to believe that many of our fans will show up and say, "Dudy Noble doens't need any improvements. Its the top facility in the nation!" "Will I be able to keep my lifetime chairback that I paid $100 for 25 years ago?"

That doesn't change anything regarding the scheduling. We could have scheduled a win.

Ray a good hire? As Keyshawn Johnson would say C'mom Man. How many games did we win in basketball last year vs what we won the year before? How long did it take Strickland to hire a him? It's no secret he was way way way way down the damn list.
Then the whole Will Redmond situation. Add in the football schedule this year. (I don't care if your BFF Larry T told you to do it and he would take care of you, you just don't ****ing do it). Lack of baseball stadium expansion is another reason.
He just isn't AD material period end of story. To be a good AD you need a athletic bone in your body and the most athletic thing he has done is probably play chess.
