How Many Boosters Can a School Disassociate

And still refer to boosters as "rogue" with a straight face? Serious question, what is the number? 1? 2? 3? What is the number that tells you without a shadow or a doubt there isn't anything "rogue" about it?

Anything over 3 IMO & you have a network or team.

And when you have a dinner for recruits that boosters attend, like Rosebowl mentioned in his podcast, that is obviously an action that gives away that there is a team

Another tidbit for thought. When Godfrey wrote his really good article "Meet the Bagman", he talked about how big-time boosters who give a lot of money don't get involved in recruiting because they're too valuable because of the amount of money they give to the school. It sounds very plausible and I bought it. What if a school has a booster who gets disassociated for giving a player a cpl hundred bucks but he is a big-time giver? I'm talking scholarships named after him? Would that fly in the face of what Godfrey taught us and lend credence to the line of thinking that even the heavy-hitting givers, at this hypothetical situation I've created, are all involved? It's everybody working together?

Yes. That would show a pretty tight relationship if, for example, some Ole Miss booster was tightly related to the business school having provided scholarships and funding for faculty raises, etc...

Don't they already have 4? One each in Tupelo (cars), Oxford (hotel), Memphis (free rides and present with coaches) and Biloxi (cash).

In reality what does it do to the booster to be disassociated? What does it actually prevent?

It would be interesting if the NCAA passed a rule that if 3 or more boosters are found to be rogue in an investigation that all funding by boosters is cut off for a certain period of time. Wonder if this would put a major brake on rogue boosters

Does anybody really believe these boosters will be disassociated from the program? They may have to buy their tickets through another name or donate in a different name. But those crooked bastards will publicly say for everyone to hear that so and so is disassociated, but have their fingers crossed beneath the podium. Once the cameras are off Bjork and Freeze will tell them to come over to the house on Saturday for a toddy and get together.

Prevents him from having tickets through the school's box office. That's about it. Not hard to get him linked up with another booster to get seats though. There was a disassociated Bama booster who once disassociated, continued to do the shit they told him not to. In some ways, now they don't even have to pretend, just go all out.
