Any chance we sneak back into the top 25?

I've been wondering the same. Has a 9-win SEC team ever been left out of the final poll before?

Will a 10-win sec team (Florida) be left out? I think so

I could see them staying in and us being kept out. Being the SEC east champion will hold up in the medias eyes, even though we know the east was weak.

We'd beat Fla by 2 maybe 3 scores.

Started a thread on this yesterday. Here's the last post:
I hope you're right, but the, "others receiving votes" are getting them from the same people who will be voting in the final poll. IT is pretty rare that a team already ahead in the rankings and wins is passed over by a lower team unless that lower team beats someone much higher in the rankings. We're not likely to get that much traction from beating an unranked NCSU we were heavily favored to beat.
Here are the teams I think are already sure to be in the T25, win or lose (not in order):
1. Clemson
2. Bama
3. Michigan State
4. Oklahoma
5. Stanford
6. Iowa
7. Ohio State
8. ND
9. FSU
10. NC
11. TCU
12. NW
13. Ok State
14. Houston
15. Oregon
16. UNM (unless they get whipped like last year)
17. Winner of UF/Michigan
18. Baylor
19. Utah
20. Navy
21. LSU
22. Wisconsin
23. W. Kentucky
So, there are probably only 2, maybe 3 spots open at this point. Teams ahead of us in the last poll include:
UGA
Tennessee
Upig
San Diego State (already won big)
Washington State (already won)
Who do you think we jump over if those SEC teams don't lose?

Florida could not currently beat anybody in the west ! Screw being East champions .

1) Do you think any team in the Top 15 will drop all the way out with a loss?
2) Below #15, only #19 UF & #24 Temple have lost. There's only 1 left yet to play, Ole Miss at #16.
3) #29 UT just steam-rolled #12, #30 won, #31 won, and #26 UGA has yet to play.
I hope like hell we get in, but I don't see how the same pollsters who put #29, 30 & 31 ahead of us in the previous poll are going to reward us that much for beating an unranked NC State team we were favored to beat anyway. And if UGA beats Penn State, it makes it even less likely.
