Here we go again..........Now Mullen's name being mentioned for the UVA job, which
is not even open, yet........Va Tech is apparently Fuentes.......I can't see Maryland but UVA may be interesting.......Lotsa money.........

Scott better get the checkbook ready. Whether we like it or not, a lot of schools are probably trying to get in touch with Mullen.
He makes 4 mil now. Even upping him to 4.5 mil puts him in the top 8 in terms of coaching salaries. That just seems kind of ridiculous....

Somebody threw us a bone on the whole coaching situation. NOLA.com reporting Freeze is the guy for LSU, just keeping it hush hush until Sunday. Ok not really but at least it's not Dan on this article.

It could be that he feels like if he couldn't get it done with Dak here, then he never will.

He's gotta put on a show to get the payroll he needs for his assistants. Billy and Manny in particular.

This fan base and the media have been 100% sure Dan was leaving after at least 3 of his 7 seasons here. I'll believe it when our athletic department announces it

NO!! He makes a great Salary and he has done nothing this year to warrant a raise. I don't want him gone. I hope he stays and think he will but if he wants more money he can find it somewhere else.

Dan may be looking- but I doubt he would take any job just to get out of Starkville. It would have to be the absolute RIGHT job. But the thing about that is there really aren't that many out there.
Georgia is the only one I can see remotely making any sense at all.

I get where you're coming from but the season's not over. If we win the Egg and the Sugar then I could see the rationale for another raise.
Maybe it's like another poster mentioned, that Dan's lobbying for assistant raises. Or it could just be another round of the same old rumors.
