No Jim, we don't know that this team has to break out of the scoreless streak sometime. Our approach to offensive is garbage and leads directly to scoreless innings.

Let me be clear, my problem wasn't so much that rea didn't play but who played for him. That being said there's really not much of an option behind him. This coming off the back of not starting heck yesterday was just annoying

I'd be ok with that at this point. He's had 6 recruiting classes and we're this terrible. Break the bank on a baseball coach. Won't happen, though. It'll take at least one more season this bad, maybe two. And I don't think we'll finish 14th, but we won't do any better than 11 or 12. Wouldn't be surprised if we finish 14th, though.

What we were doing early works only if you have a great pitching staff and the other teams get rattled. UCLA beat us for the National title with this offense. The big problem is limiting your offense puts more pressure on the pitching staff.

The difference is a) the balls were more dead when they beat us and b) TD Ameritrade is a ****ing offensive graveyard. And even they scored more than this. They were a truly aggressive small ball team that hit-and-run and stole bases. We just sac bunt like a bunch of wussy clowns.

Another point, we'll give Cohen a longer leash because he's "one of ours." Meaning he'll probably get 1-2 more seasons than he should if he doesn't get this turned around.
