    OT: vaccum cleaners

My vaccum cleaner is not sucking at capacity and the wife is pissed. My internet research indicates that I may as well go ahead and junk it and get another. I am cheap so I have been checking craigslist and doing some research. I thought I might splurge and buy an electolux but I keep reading that they smell really musty due to the rubber seal around the front of the bag.

    Thoughts?**

Go Dyson or go home. Clean the filters regularly and that thing will run like a Cadillac.

I've always dreamed of buying a dyson. One day... until then, I'll just continue to talk about hsouehold appliances on the internet with other grown men.

My wife bought a 'refurbished' Dyson a couple of years ago and she loves that thing. It was one made specifically for cleaning up animal hair. I think they are $5-600 brand new but she bought it for something like $250 and it works great.

At this point I'm not sure whether you are talking about a vacuum cleaner or sex. I'm going to assume it was the ladder.

Let's hope it was the latter, not the ladder

Hey there's nothing wrong with bringing a ladder into the bedroom, especially when your wife is short.

you should have that thing bronzed and retire it. It's served honorably.

I had it backwards... in my mind, I was bringing the bedroom outside to the ladder. I think that could work. You may get some complaints from your neighbors. Then again, they might cheer you on.

I have an Oreck. Got to test it against a Dyson and the Oreck cleaned better. It had a 6 yr warranty and I've had it for years with no problem.

I was wondering how many comments you would get before everyone realized you were mocking the "stackable washer and dryer" thread

Agree with above, on buying a refurbished Dyson. Adult Film Quality Suckage...

Nearly every part is user replaceable, which makes repairing a snap. Thing is, mine has been bulletproof.
