    Juco guard from California has an offer from us. Guess we don't feel very good about guard or tackle going into next season.

    Tough position to recruit for because of the unique combination of size, strength and skills. I don't view this as a negative though, I think it's good that we're exploring options for guys that can jump into the rotation. Had Johnson not been injured in the Spring, he would have been helping us this season. Would rather have Rankin but if he goes to the dark side, good to know we have some other options out there brewing.

    Honestly, we've been way more successful recruiting high school o-linemen and developing them than we have bringing in JUCO guys under Dan.

    You don't suppose our difficulty in recruiting offensive linemen has anything to do with the position coach they would be playing under. Probably not.
