We have a legit shot at finishing 8-10 in the SEC for the 4th season in a row

To have a shot, they need to win 4 of last 5. With road games to bama and Florida, that ain't happening. I say best case is 3/5 and win 1 in sect to get NIT, maybe

I guess Murphy and Nwoko bettered themselves financially but they both lost to Mississippi State this year and aren't any better off from a team perspective. If they both stayed at State, they probably would play in the NCAA tournament.

Murphy didn't get more money than he would have gotten from us.....he wanted to play for bruce pearl, tough luck on that.

No the season isn't technically over, but we're not making the NCAAT barring a miracle run through Nashville. Which by the way, we have the type of player that could go on a Kemba Walker type run and take over a conference tournament. I just wouldn't expect it.

It would actually be the 6th season in a row - Howland's last 2 included.

That's a tough one. If the 4 million number is correct, I think he might be. He's a great scorer, but for that number, seems like you should get a Thomas haugh. Regardless though, he's the face of our program, and we can't let him leave. We have one more season, so Jans has to get another star to play with him and surround them with solid role players

It's not quite at 4 for a single year. Although that may be what it takes to keep him. I would imagine Oscar will just pay it if that's the case though.

I would absolutely love to steal Kevin Overton from Auburn. A 6'6" guard to pair with josh would be amazing

Overton would be a hell of a pickup. Also a guy like Juke Harris at Wake. 6'7 kid.

Yeah, it's like $2M per, right? $4M for 2 yrs. Bump him a mil and bring him back with some more scorers!

Hubbard isn't dumb. He knows how loved Dak is at State and how much more money there is longterm in staying at one college than chasing a marginally larger bag at another school. He's not going into the NBA and by the time he is about to graduate - all the eligibility rules could be out the window. He'd be smart to have 3 mil / year from State for the next 10 years.

Agreed. Maybe he could play for us until he’s 30.

I've been up and down on Hubb but last night was one for the ages. There is no doubt he comes from a great family and is 100% Bulldog. His pride last night was awesome to watch. He comes back next year and he is Top 3 basketball dawg all-time without a doubt. He has an incredible Sr year and he becomes the State goat

Sure, but his implication on "season's not over yet" is making tourney. 8-10 ain't getting us in. Hell, it would probably take 10-8

I agree that 8-10 won’t get us in.
