If Lane can find a Cam Skattebo then he'll be fine.

Guess we'll see if Leavitt can finally live up to the hype. I think he's extremely overrated.

Considering he couldn’t get more than 20 points on our terrible defense is bad. I’m pretty sure every SEC team we played got about 35 points minimum on our defense outside of UF who had a horrible offense.

Lane and Weiss will get the most out of him.
But he's never lived up to the hype this far

This is true. Hutz shut him down two years in a row. Skataboo on the other hand.

I don't see him nearly as accurate or pocket savy to run what Kiffin needs - nothing kills his offense quicker than an incompletion

Lane will do exactly what he did with Chambliss. Quick game and a solid running game to keep the deep shots down.

Kiffin thought Simmons was better than Chambless too.

His highlights against us looks like Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite.

QBs, outside of Simmons, typically do. Someone will need to reign in Simmons. He just had too much gun slinger in him to play in Kiffin's system. When they were able to keep him in the system he was fine, but too often he'd try to take the HR throw or fit the ball into a tight window instead of taking the throw that is there. Lane schemes up the shots. That didn't fit Simmons game.

Yep. Chamblis, Dart, Corral, and that ATH/QB at Bama.

My initial thought is that Leavitt is overrated. But my second thought is that we would all be talking about how Lane could have pulled C34 off the street and made him a Heisman contender at Ole Miss....so why not Leavitt at LSU?

I could see him looking like bad Carson Beck, or I could see him looking Jaxson Dart-ish....

We'll see. Kiffin's offense has always found a way.

Leavitt is just that, a solid QB. Let’s see what Lane can do with him
