He shouldnt have won the Heisman. There were easily 5 choices better. They dont beat Penn St without that WR making the catch of the year for 2025. Mendoza is good- no doubt but I'd take Pavia over him 100 times out of 100 as a college QB. Moore at Oregon was just as good in his own conference. Having a grown man OL helps also. He was only sacked 18 times in 13 Big Ten games. Bama was able to get to him a couple of times early and ended up with 3 sacks but his OL adjusted to keep them off him the rest of the game.

Although I do not like it and wish College Football would go back to just being 18-22 year olds you have to give him credit for identifying the direction CFB was heading and adjusting his approach.

Think it is a big reason the SEC has especially Alabama and UGA have fallen off a bit is because they still mainly recruit high school kids and try and develop them. Sure they get portal players but UGA and Bama are not primarily portal.

He called me, and ask me could I help him contacting Todd Cooley at Delta State regarding his youngest son. His son is a DI lite to DII talent, and would normally be a slam dunk for Delta State. Cooley told them he would offer PWO, but their focus was portal players. I?m sorry, but that?s horse shit! The portal is hurting the high school kids.

If 23 is your avg age on a roster of 105, then you better have a huge NIL, and willing to turn your team over annually. Plus, you better produce a high ROI with that kind of money.

This really isn't new. Just maybe a little older due to getting extra years of eligibility, but this has been our only chance of winning in forever. Having a team of 4th and 5th year juniors and seniors has always been our best teams. We just need to make it a priority again going forward.

It's definitely a problem, I agree. It's likely to hurt my 9th grader's recruitment as well, sending him to a lower level.

It is. But we can either be left behind and stand on our morals or go with it until they decide to do something.

I saw a post on this somewhat. It was advocating to do what Baylor just did. Go sign some meat from the pros in the euro league or CFL. We can find them that are 25 to 28.
