    The Jeff Lebby OC Impact

    2019 UCF - OC - 10-3
2020 OM - OC - 5-5; UCF went 6-4 and then HC Josh Heupel left for Tennessee
    2021 OM - OC - 10-3
2022 OU - OC - 6-7; OM went 8-5 (most people blame Lane Kiffin job shopping as the reason for the fall-off from 7-0 but let's just let facts stand alone)
    2023 OU - OC - 10-3; OM went 11-2
    2024 State HC - 2-10; OU went 6-7; OM went 10-3
2025 State HC - 5-8; OU went 10-3 with playoff appearance; OM is 13-1 and a top 4 finisher

The year after Lebby leaves is a dip getting his stink off. Then the next season - those schools reach a height unseen in Lebby's tenure. Has he actually done anything noteworthy in his time or has he just been attached to the right people (Heupel, Venables, Kiffin have all made the playoffs WITHOUT him and none would have made the playoffs with him except Kiffin in 2021 as the 8 seed.)

Were UCF, Ole Miss, or Oklahoma fans sad to see him leave? Do they wish they could have him back?

OU fans are. The ones I know I should have said. They liked his offense.

I don't think this is the general opinion. For example, see the Oklahoma fans on this Reddit thread:

Dude you really said this on a thread I created. Look at my profile picture. OU fans were ECSTATIC to see him leave. He was on the precipice of being fired and Selmon gave him a lifeline.

I was banned for a year when he was hired partly because of my melt about us hiring a guy that OU didn't even want to be OC. Stop talking out of your ass and sunshine pumping for no reason.

What's your view of the "game" last night? You were awfully quiet on the game thread.

Yet by year 2 it's reversed. Also I don't know if it's that accurate to say 2024 OU was totally worse than 2023 OU given the B12 to SEC schedule difference. But it's clear that 2025 OU > 2023 OU; 2023 OM > 2021 OM. Maybe it's nothing. Maybe it's something. But Kiffin, Heupel, and Vegetables all achieved higher success without him than with him. You have to question if Lebby was holding them back.

I mean you're hitching your wagon to a guy that got punked by a depleted WF team.

He started his own thread to bash Kamario Taylor the whole time, say that he would have told to Shapen to quit the team too if he was his son, and then credited Lebby whenever Taylor did something good.

Has to blame it on someone but who is in charge. It's all KT's fault while ignoring who started KT

7, you might be drunk - I dunno if Pancho has supported lebby today and definitely isn't one who is chest thumping. If anyone - he's cheerleading drunk me like the devil on my shoulder. Which I vibe with honestly.

I'm not as destructively angry as I used to be. It's way better to creatively try to make a spectacle of how dumbass I can say things that we are all feeling.

Not because it was him, but I hated the hire as I am sick of our "powers to be" going the OC route to hire for HC in my MSU fan/supporter/alum lifetime. Check our losing history in doing this... Eight OC's and 6 losers (I include JoMo in these six). Only Tyler and Mullen were winners. Lebby has shown nothing that he can be a successful HC for us and is headed toward the loser crowd bigtime. 7-18 and worse than that, 1 and 15 in the SEC, with that last-minute "signature win" over Arkansas. History shows that doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is insanity. MSU football HC hiring is insane in my lifetime.
