Yep! After no games last week. And near meaningless conference championship games 2 weeks ago. Stupidity abound.

The real reason everyone is pissed off is because Ole Miss just won a playoff game at home with a national audience. Every single one of us would kill for that opportunity and it?s a very black and white picture of how far ahead of us they are. I?m pissed off and all of you should be too.

I made my peace with OM being in the playoffs a couple of months ago. It doesn't bother me today because if State can't compete with Pete Golding that's on us.
But I'm watching Bears-Packers right now because a committee put a glorified FCS team in the CFP.

Oregon could score 100 tonight if they want.
The CFP Committee needs an overhaul. Big time.

Weird post. Almost nothing to do with this thread but whatever. You do you.

It should have been ND at Ole Miss and Texas at Oregon. I can't imagine the networks are going to let this keep happening much longer.

No it doesnt. G5 teams are in the Playoff because the NCAA is avoiding Anti-Trust legal issues. It's the only damn reason. So they throw them a bone to avoid hundreds of millions in profit loss.
Walk like the King or walk like you don't care who the King is

Anti-Trust laws. Nothing the networks can do. And guess what? People are still watching

I bet there are a lot less watching than it would be if it were Oregon/Vandy or OM/TEXAS.
Big L for college sports again tonight, people are going to stop watching this shit. I know I watched one drive of each of the afternoon/night games and haven’t checked up.
Only updates I get are from the ESPN app.

I don't mind a G5 or two, but make it 16 with no byes and reward the top teams in the country with a cupcake opener.
That game was embarrassing. That's your match up after playing a soft conference schedule? Both playoff teams Ole Miss beat this year are already out. Go figure. They are good, but ND in Oxford would have been highly entertaining.
-
I know this is not a common opinion outside ND fans because a lot of people have a hatred for ND, but I actually think they are better than all the other teams outside the top 5. I think they would?ve won in Oxford because I think they are a better team than Ole Miss. In the past they got special treatment for being ND and they were overrated, but since Marcus Freeman took over they have been better. They did go to the title game last year and they played their two hardest games the first two weeks of the year. I bet they beat aTm too if they played them again. Not sure they could beat IU, OSU or UGA and TTU and Oregon could go either way but their easy schedule hurt them for sure.

Tamu actually played more ranked teams.

IMO 16 is too many teams. Because teams 5-16 probably don't have a very realistic chance to win a NC at all. But they probably will do it with 16 teams because it makes more people happy.
I do hope at least for the playoffs that they take the bowls out of it because then every other playoff game would be decided on campus and then the championship could be a neutral site game.
Put the Sugar, Rose, Cotton, Orange, Peach, and Fiesta on NYD and just make it an epic day of football as God intended for it to be.

They should join the Big 10.

100% would resolve all their issues with schedule complaints and would be able to prove their worth better

A G5 team has won the NC ........ once. Ever. BYU before the current system. This format is stupid.

Technically I do think the 1998 Marshall team could have won the NC with Pennington and Moss and their defense, but I agree it is rare for mid majors to have teams or that caliber.

The TV ratings for both the Oregon and Ole Miss games were poor. So no, people aren't.
