This kind of came out of left field, with it being this late. This tells me that they have a hire in mind already. Sark has long been mentioned as a possible candidate but I don't know that they could pull him from Texas. If I had to just guess on a list of candidates right now:
PJ Fleck
Jeff Brohm
Jedd Fisch
Manny Diaz
Dan Mullen
Lincoln Riley
I mean, if I'm Michigan, I'm seeing how dry the ink on Matt Campbell's contract is.

It just feels like they have someone ready to go. I just do not think you make that move unless you have a candidate in your back pocket.

Very likely so. But I'm guessing there will be hard negotiating on a buyout settlement.
