You gotta admit
Hiring Arnett one day and then firing Bumphis two days later is kind of funny.
Pretty clear that Jeff Lebby isn't listening to any boosters. Or he's just trying to piss everyone off. I don't know.

As long as he wins 7-8 games next year, I don't care if he wants us to be known as Miss. State.
The last 6 years have been brutal. Kiffin is gone, the door is cracked open, and we can become relevant again.
If he thinks this is what it takes, ok.

Yep, as long as we win 7 or 8 games next year I don?t care who is hired or fired. I want to see positive results.

6-7 wins is progress and a reasonable goal. 8 wins is crazy tough expectations with 9 sec games

2021 and 2022 weren't remotely "brutal" - we finished ranked in 2022, and 2021 at least had a bowl and the 3rd best offense in school history (#1 without Dak)

I agree, but after I saw us against Texas, Tennessee, and Florida this year, I realize that anything really can happen. We have no idea how good any SEC teams will be next year.

Done playing nice, Bump was warned before and chose not to do what is required for his station. He’s paying the toll for his decisions.

2022 wasn't brutal, it helped that we won the egg.
The rest I'll stand on. 2020, 2021, 2023, 2024, and now 2025. It has been brutal. 1-5 in egg bowls. 3 straight home egg bowl losses. SEC record of 12-37. Losses to Toledo and Memphis.
The salt in the wound is the ****ing bears/rebels being the third best team in the SEC during this same stretch is infuriating. So yeah, i don't care who he hires and fires. Do whatever he thinks he needs to do.

This is an insane take. We should have won 8 this year and next year’s schedule will be easier.

There's no way to know this, but since we have 10 P4 games and 2 scrubs rather than 9 and 3, I doubt it.

6 wins is in no way, shape, or form "progress" next year. Lebby could have had that this year.

Weird thing to say when half the starters aren?t on the team yet.
-
Just hoping for 6 wins. That continues to make progress. And if we win 6 Lebby returns for 27- 100%- as he should with the limited NIL he deals with
Walk like the King or walk like you don't care who the King is

I mean 9 sec games is tougher than 8. I'm not a Lebby Stan at all, but 6 wins would be progress bc it means 3 sec wins
-
Yeah, I think there's about a 90% chance that 6-6 buys Lebby 2027.

Let's dive into that a little bit. Hard to tell with the portal how everyone is going to be but...
Ole Miss won't have Lane but it's in Oxford- toss up
Alabama- Loss
Auburn- Toss up, KT might give us an edge here.
LSU in Baton Rouge with Kiffin- big time recipe for a loss for MSU
South Carolina- I think we win this one but it's on the road so toss up
Texas in Austin- Loss
Oklahoma- Toss up but at home probably a loss
Mizzou- wouldn't be surprised if we won or lost this game honestly at home so toss up
Vanderbilt without Pavia- probably a win.

So telling the REAL BOSSES information is what got him fired? Who does Lebby thinks will fire him if he struggles again?
