Hutzler has to go.
He's awful. Our D can't stop anyone. He's given up 400+ yards of offense 15 times in 24 games. Given up 500+ yards 6 times. Indefensible. If he's not fired, Lebby should be instead.
It's the roller coaster of hope that this program keeps us on that makes it hell being a State fan. - CadaverDawg, 10/15/22

Defensive staff needs a full overhaul.
Special Teams needs a full overhaul.
Lebby needs an OC.

Is our fan base and football athletic office that dumb and that passive to just keep everything the same?

I bet we see some changes but MSU is too slow to react sometimes.

We're Mississippi State. Of course we're that lazy, dumb, and unambitious. Only hope is to raise hell.

If Selmon allows Lebby to keep Hutzler they all should be escorted out of the building.
When the tv announcers are very subtly saying your DC is ass then you need to make a big change.

Think he can be the right guy with a semblance of a DL. He gets another year as does Lebby. Give them a chance to fill in the gaps.

All of this. We need to go spend 2 mil on a DC, we need to go find an elite STC, and we need to basically beg Kendall Briles to come work for Lebby and tutor Kamario.

He probably can, but unfortunately for him we got progressively worse as the year went along. Some of that is depth and some of it is talent. Unfortunately he is the head of the D and he is going to have to fall on the sword for that.

Hutz still has guys out of position. He is not a good DC. He's not even average.
If we just had South Carolina's DC - we have about the same talent level - we would have won two, maybe three, more games.

You make a good point but using that as a premise Lebby has to go to as head of the offense. Would rather see Lebby with a OC and Hutz with a DL as a matter of continuity and see what we get first.

I feel bad for him. He still doesn't have the horses, but I feel like a retread C grade DC would have done better.

I long for the days or Robert Bell, John Calhoun, Johnnie Cooks, Mike McEnany, Stan Black, Larry Gillard, Billy Jackson, Ernie Barnes, Fletcher Cox, Sweat, Chris Jones, etc.....Long for the days of DOGS that would knock your **** in the dirt on defense.....

Not one negative play generated. Not a sack, not a TFL, nothing.
Everyone wants to be a beast...until its time to do what beasts do.

seems par for the course considering what was put into and spent on this D.
