I'm seeing hints of State fans trying to spread around that Shapen is going to play the 1st series and then we are going to hand the reigns off to KT in the Egg Bowl. I'm here to tell you now that is the biggest bunch of bullshit that could be out there. Thats not how its going to play out.

Do I think KT plays more this week than previous weeks? 100% I do. He has experience now and we had almost 2 weeks to get prepared to play this game. I wholeheartedly believe that we will have a good offensive gameplan and play pretty well on that side of the ball depending how healthy we are on the OL. But to think that Lebby is about to bench the guy he believes gives us the best chance to win on Friday? **** no he is not doing that. That's not how coaches do things and thats not how teams work.

We will score points. We got worked by Mizzou in the trenches badly and still scored 27 points. The extra time by each defensive coach plus the emotion of the game will be a huge factor tho. My biggest concern? How does Hutzler find a way to slow their running game when we dont have the Jimmies and Joes to do it? U can scheme a little early on to give them fits and slow them down early. How will we fare once they have adjusted to our gameplan. That will decide the game

I'll be there watching, cheering, and hoping. HailState

I was impressed with Hutzlers plan last year in the Egg Bowl. If we play similar, we will win. Our offense will move the ball.

I think the gameplan will be very similar to last year. A lot of 3 down front with 3 deep safeties. Clog the interior and spill everything to the edges.

We did a great job against their run last year. The one time they gashed us, 2 missed a tackle in the hole at the line of scrimmage. We have to tackle Friday.

Ole Miss' biggest weakness in defense is their secondary. We have to have chunk plays in the passing game. Not saying we don't need to be able to run it. But big passing plays are only chance. KT is the future. But he's not the answer to me to be 60 mins tomorrow. Spot play yes. More than we have. Probably. We have a shot, IF we can slow the run. Now that's the problem.

And you can bet your shiny metal ass they will load the box, bullrush out LT and give them the QB take. They have watched films and also postgame pressors to see how Leb thinks to come up with a gameplan.

    Preach.

Yeah. I think a lot of that is fanboys hoping it will happen but I don't know why they do that to themselves.

Shapen and KT are both going to play based on the situation. That's how Lebby is going to handle it. Barring an injury to Shapen of course or something like that.

Not to mention it is senior day. You're not going to bench your QB who has been sacked 40+ times just out of the blue like that just so you can make some MSU fans on Twitter happy.

Yeah. And the thing is Isaac will be playing in this game. He should help and we're going to need it.

And Reese will help with this some.

He is on the right side and it takes more than one man to block. Plus he played the last game if I'm not mistaken.

Correct on all accounts but he definitely stabilizes the line as much as it can be. Without him the line is noticeably worse.

Oh I’m sure Shapen plays the majority of the game. No reason to think Lebby will do much different in this game.

Yep, I hope we get off to a fast start. What bothers me is our lack of depth with a shortage of talent, not a good fit especially going into the fourth quarter.

I have zero confidence that this will be a competitive game.

A couple of things about Shapen:
    1) I just have a hunch he may play well for his last game, he will be motivated.
    2) He has survived the season with many predicting before the season he can't stay healthy.
    3) He plays hard and wants to win, no doubt he is a leader.
Lastly, I wish/hope he plays his best game ever and we win. If so, I think it would be our best Egg Bowl victory ever also because of their rankings.

Hell, the Village People ED posters might break out in the YMCA dance, LOL!

Very good points but it all depends on the Oline giving him time and opening holes and him not trying to be the leading rusher. Remember what Leb said last week we take what the D gives us. BTW the most laziest quote I ever heard. If one of my LTs or NCOs ever said that I'd relieve their ass.

There are things we can do to help our LT on shot plays. Need to do it tomorrow. Even if it reduces the play to a 3 man or even 2 man route.

Let's just hope we hit a few homerun plays for scores. I will say our LT is probably one of the worse I have seen play at Msu. Let's hope Shapen gets rid of the ball in time Friday. If we had a better replacement for out LT I think we would have seen him play. Lack og depth has been a killer with many injuries this year also.

Man the press conference will be a killer for Kiffin with questioning him to stay or go after the game tomorrow.

I think we are going to see a lot more of Kamario just from the things I have heard from people inside the walls. Lebby and Co have watched some OM film every Sunday this year to get tendencies. We know the two things they struggle with are mobile QBs and the intermediate to deep routes in the secondary. Kamario will be asked to pass some when he is in the game. Shapen is going to play. He is a senior and we are not going to bench a senior on Senior Day, see Dan Mullen 2009 with Tyson Lee.

I believe Hev would've done alot better with that Line. But that's the problem with the RPO. The Oline gots to be ready to block for something that they might not know what is happening behind them. I remember the OLine being confused when Moorhead installed the RPO, well that and being in the Stance for 25 seconds.
