Especially if he is mailing it in and we are beating them. I want their players in full business decision mode.

There are going to be 1000 twist and turns in this between now and next week. I'd suggest don't believe anything you read. And I mean nothing. Because 99% will be false.

Maybe he ends up in an ACC/B12 job, so I can keep pulling him. I'll never hate him like most here

Considering he turned down Syracuse I think he will be very careful taking one of those jobs. He has a better chance making a splash in Vegas than he does a lesser acc job. .

A wise move given ND just hung 70 on them.

I am firmly in this camp. Wish I could get odds on it somewhere to make Christmas money. A lot of it.

He will announce that he is staying after he names the score against us in the EGG. He and Carter will then say this was all a covert operation to leave LSU and FL without his services and they both have to make a last choice hire as the big names are gone in this hiring insanity, thus doing heavy damage to their programs.

All OM fans who have been previously professing their hate for this narcissist winner will take him back with open arms with more love than ever until the hiring cycle next year. He is their Mullen, but much more successful on the field.

This. I’ve been calling it all along. This wasn’t some big strategy though. They almost lost him but ponied up to what he wanted to stay (unlike State did with Mullen). Once the contract was in place it’s just wait until after the EB to announce it. They win and it’s the final nail in the State football programs already partially buried coffin. They lose, and the announcement of him staying overshadows the loss and they still get into the playoffs. This is what a competent athletic administration and marketing program looks like.

That's not accurate, we were already negotiating around the $6 MIL per year number for a new contract for Dan, which is what he got at Florida and would have received for TN. We were willingly to go even higher but it wasn't about money for Dan with us, he was ready to move on to a bigger program.

You would be hard pressed to convince me he is not leaving OM. He will never win a title there. Lane wants a title. He is a good coach, but not a GOAT coach. It would take a GOAT coach to win a natty there

The more I think about it.. I think he is staying. Sexton is a master at misdirection. He brings all the attention to LSU all of a sudden while working something else in the background and that's getting more money out of OM. Smoke and mirrors. I hope he is gone but.....

Like Dawgology said... they are masters at this. For the past week and atleast one more week, they are the most mentioned school on TV and social media. The interactions they are getting right now from social media is probably creating big NIL money by itself. And we all.know Kiffin loves every second of it.

So if you?re LK, would you rather be the LSU coach and play OM, AR, and aTm every year (bigger fanbase, great atmosphere, much bigger stadium, and top notch facilities) greater chance of winning a NC, or be at OM playing us, LSU, and OK every year (good support, smaller stadium, pretty good facilities, good atmosphere) will be a challenge to make the playoffs much less win a natty. I think he takes LSU job.

Kiffin is making OM look like chumps. They hate this shit. This is not endearing him to the fans. Carter and Boyce have met everything he wanted to stay. He could have been the talk of the college football world Friday thru Saturday if he announced he was staying. He is not staying. He would be an absolute fool to turn down what LSU is offering him. And I am not just talking about the money. They are guaranteeing an NIL pool that would make LSU a national juggernaut of a program.

He is doing OM a favor by staying until next weekend. He beats us goes 11-1 and even if he leaves the committee will still allow OM in the playoffs with maybe a lesser seed but they are in the playoffs. I am not the only one saying this either. There have been a few SEC/LSU podcasters today saying the same thing.

And the word is there is a lot of animosity in Oxford right now that is bordering on toxic.
