I wouldn't be so sure about that...
Hopefully he wins a couple more games and makes the question moot, but I would say 80% chance he's fired if we finish 4-8 (0-8).

Nope. Not happening. Hell, there's lots of optimism with how much we have improved this year

You didnt answer my question. We did a little better in the portal and we look a little better this year.

Absolutely ain?t happening. Next year will tell the tail. I really hope they can put something together. We have to compete in football, be good in basketball, and great in baseball to stay in the league. We have to keep receiving that check every year to make it.

Doesn't mean it's the right decision

Lebby was basically guaranteed 3 years barring something completely crazy. His recruiting is very concerning. I really didn?t like the hire from day 1 and tonight was a disaster, but it will be a good test to see if he can hold the team together.

I’ve also read this tonight- “even Vandy wouldn’t put up with this”
Clark Lea’s first 3 seasons at Candy he went 2-22 in the SEC. Yes, they did put up with it. And then when he raised hell at them saying he needed money- they went out and raised it for him. Now they pay their QB 2MM while we pay ours about 500K. You ****ing get what you ****ing pay for. 2MM is the beginning price for an SEC QB now

Last I checked, 2 isn't 0.

He won 2 sec games his 2nd year. He didn't start 0-16

We are what we are in the portal. Our relative money position isn't changing, at least until the SEC adopts some kind of NIL sharing program.
So with that in mind, if Lebby goes 0-8 this year, there's no reason to expect him to be much better in future years. Yes, we've been a little unlucky in SEC play and some years he might be lucky and win a few, but if we're 0-8 again, we're fools to expect him to ever accomplish anything here.

It's pretty bad, but at least he showed something by winning 2 SEC games in year 2. If Lebby wins 2 games in these last 5, no one will want to fire him either.

His HS recruiting is almost non-existent. Not sure whether to blame him and the staff for just being REALLY bad recruiters or if this is some strategy just to put all our eggs in the portal basket but we have never been this bad at HS recruiting especially instate.

I think going 0-16 over the first 2 years, with being completely competitive in every SEC game in year 1 as well as getting blown out by Toledo, and then in year 2 going 0-8 again and losing games directly due to coaching incompetence, qualifies as "something completely crazy."
I want Lebby to prove me wrong over these last 5 games, but I think we all kinda doubt he will.

If Lebby won 2 this year and went 0-8 the next, the crying and bitching to fire him would be 10 times louder than it is now and screaming the program is going backwards.

Our best shot at a conference game will be next week, however I think we'll beat ourselves. There's no reason to believe otherwise.
