    Quick Post game review

    Hope Fluff is alright.

Hard to win with our OL limited.

Defense played their asses off. Offense gave them zero breathers.

Offense gets no coffee. Sorry. Can?t block it. Didn?t gain 2 first downs in a single possession for over 3 quarters. Still didn?t do it when we hit the deep ball TD.

Flush it, and enjoy the week off. You boys play hard. It will come together.

Not seeing Kamario after the second half possession #2 is disappointing. You have to change up something. Make their DL think a bit. We didn?t. No idea why not. If nothing else, Kamario would have gained some important time on the field with 108k fans.

Kind of pissed about losing Fluff in a 22 point game with less than 4 minutes to go. That's on the coaches. Shapen should not have been in the game either. We should have given Taylor, Gayton and others that series. Lebby still has some things to learn about being a HC.

Reminded me of Saban playing Tua up 30 in the 1st half against us in David Wade. Weird routine tackle. Almost ended his career.

At least on that one the game was in the first half. Fluff got hurt tonight with under 4 minutes to go in a game that was long decided. Shapen was still out there as well even with all the hits he had taken all night. It was just stupid.

That was dumb and deserves to be second guessed. I think we can replace his production between Booth, Gayten, and Seth Davis though. Booth will get more carries and he is proven.

I know a lot of MSU fans will disagree with me on here about this but I think we were starting to get a little too reliant on the run game and Fluff when we need to be a little more focused on the short passing game. In some ways this might end up making us better as an offense but we are certainly not a better team without Fluff.

Well, when you can't pass block long enough to even get a pass off to your dump off guy....

Exactly. And Shapen also took a hit on that play which is why he checked it down in the first place as well. All of it was unnecessary.

We are back where we were on November 30, 2024 as far as I'm concerned.

The line can’t pass block so you would have screens with the recievers and backs to counter the rush

The point is Shipley dounut boy is not mobile and with our line his ass will be broken soon. The future is Taylor period let him play. Lebbys starting to piss me off.

And really no gameplanning for this game. I swear its like they didn't even look at the Aubbie game film.

I'm not sure there is a QB anywhere that could be successful behind our OL. We've had some bad OL's over the years but this could very well be the worse.

We definitely should do that. It would be a way we could the ball in the hands of our playmakers. We actually moved the ball when we started to throw short passes too. I expect us to start doing more of that.

We need a version of the air raid mixed in right now.

Not even that drastic. Really about 2-3 concepts which are already built into the offense. Just have to call them.

I know, I know there are things that can help an offense line not look so utterly and completely inept and I know we have guys hurt. But this O line has got to be the absolute worst in the conference. Just totally lost. Clinton high school, Tupelo high school, Brandon high school could put their O line on the field and we would be better and I mean it.

Whenever you have two O linemen to block one rusher and that rusher goes untouched to the QB good grief you have some serious, serious, serious problems. And this game is not the first time it has happened this year. Yes I get Shapen holds the ball to long and is slow on his throwing motion but Geesh you gotta give at least a 3-4 count before Shapen gets completely smashed to the turf!

This offense is the same as Leachs in the fact that we have an immobile pocket QB we are not rolling out at all, so defenses pin their ears back every play. That's half our blocking issue. When QBs are a threat to run, you can't do that. We should have played KT yesterday just to give their defense fits because it was obvious what we were doing wasn't going to work.

Fluff injury has me the most frustrated because it never should have happened. Our key players should never be in game when game is decided which it was.

Also, Lebby is too loyal to Shapen to a fault. This is a real problem to be a winning football program. Mullen brought in Relf when he saw Tyson wasn't getting it done. Lebby must adapt if we wants to win and survive.

Not really. Just need simple football plays to counter a hard rush - screen pass, shuttle pass, QB run, etc. Air raid didn't invent any of that. We already have the WR screen in the flats for 1 yard down pat.

Another very disappointing aspect of this game. We appear unprepared at least on O.

Gotta give Hutzler credit, he has our guys ready and brought back respect on MSU D.
