What Is The Happiest You Have Ever Been Leaving a State Football Game

So we got the most angry out of the way, now on to more light hearted memories. What's the happiest you've ever been leaving DWS after a game? I think a lot of us are going to have the same answers but I'll start with mine:

    1. 2014 Auburn-Pretty self explanatory and speaks for itself. The magnitude that we were going to be number 1 didn't even hit me until I got back to the tailgate. Just an incredible day and honesty an incredible 7 days in Starkville from the clock hitting 0:00 against A&M and the clock hitting 0:00 against Auburn.

    2. 2014 A&M-I left that game thinking we were the best team in the country and it wasn't particularly close. We looked like hell on wheels on offense and our defense was salty at all 3 levels. I really believed there wasn't a way we weren't winning the SEC.

    3. 09 Egg Bowl-I remember walking in thinking we were going to get killed. OM had this high powered offense and they were already a shoo in for the Cotton Bowl. We on the other hand were 4-7 and had been outscored 73-24 in the last two weeks. And then Chris Relf happened. Also maybe a top 5 Mississippi State moment ever was Mullen grabbing the mic and trolling OM and Houston Nutt.

There's more than a few I left out. 99 Egg Bowl, 00 Florida, 04 Florida, 07 Bama, 07 Egg Bowl just to name a few.

98 Arkansas for me probably. Great game. I was still too young to drive legally.
With Romaro out I was confident we were winning the West the following week.

You're right. Didn't notice that part. The game was in Oxford, which made it that much better.

Oh hell I don't care. State fans don't have a whole lot of happiness so if you're best moments are road games then that's good too. Just trying to get us some positive vibes going into football season.

    1) ‘14 Auburn Easily #1. My head hurt so bad on the way home from noise!
    2) ‘00 Florida. Was on the field and almost got a gator helmet. Loved seeing Spurrier throw the visor.
    3) ‘98 Arkansas. Toted goalpost off the field
    4) ‘99 KY Thusday night ESPN. Westerfield boots a 45 yard game winner. Me and my bud got on the field and shot Crown Royal with a stranger at the 35 where he made the kick.
    5) ‘14 aTm Just took it to them and thought this is going to be a special season
Damn this makes me sad to think where we are now.

There's nothing like winning on the road when the entire home crowd expected to win.

2014 Auburn was the greatest MSU game I've ever been to. College game day that morning, torrential downpour right before half time that only made the crowd even crazier, knowing we were going to be #1 in the nation when the clock hit 0s. Good times

I am not able to attend hardly any games, but Auburn 2014 was the most exciting game as a State fan

2007 Bama game. AJ is still running with the interception. Watching Saban throw his hat to the ground when AD made that run and watching the bama bus go rolling out to tens of thousands of Cowbells.

Hah yeah bout forgot about that one. I had Bama fans that traveled with me and some of them went to car at halftime. Another didn't even get out of car when we stopped to eat on way home. It was great. I heard Roll Tide Roll crap all the way to kickoff then Crickets.

Another one was 97 in Tuscaloosa. I got Tide Pride tickets at 50 yard line in prime seats. A guy from work sold to me; I never said but he assumed I was Bama fan. Another glorious day beating the Elephants as JJ ran all over them. Boy the looks I got.

I've been watching some old games last few weeks to get in the mood if I can. Watched the 13 egg bowl, boy we were really good to only won 7 games that year. I've also watched bunch of Jackie games.

JWS and Mullen put some major talent on the field that we've only seen a handful of times. I'm not sure we have anyone that could make 2 deep on those teams now.

2007 Bama was pretty sweet. That was the loudest I had ever heard DWS when Anthony Johnson made the pick six.
