But even then, I like what I see. This OF is going to have players in abundance.
Teel, Frei, and Sullivan not drafted. Catcher has Mershon and he can play multiple positions.
Mershon is going to be an OF. Beliveau is our catcher of the future.

I do at least feel better that it wasn't the Blue Jays that took Jacob Parker. The deals for the brothers will be totally separate negotiations now and the brothers will be split up whether Jacob comes to State or goes to the Diamondbacks. I really don't see any good reason for Jacob not to come to MSU at this point. His family obviously will not need whatever money he gets offered.

In three seasons, they can join up in AA-AAA and MLB debut in the same game. This OF is sick.
To think about the walkons, misfits, bad-news-bears, bunters, and Rudy cases that Lemons generally fielded.

agree. Unless he totally tanks in college- he should go to school. He will get a 400K offer or so. Thats not life changing money. Huge difference in turning down a million or more.

He may take it just because there really is not a lot of room in our lineup for him, though I think he is a good player.

I honestly don’t see Stallman getting much pt with the additions that we made. There are going to be some good players that don’t play a lot.

I think the penalties for not signing guys goes away after the 10th round. But why not take him in the 13th or 14th round? They must fee l like
Bthey've got the money left to give a good offer.
Not necessarily. Could be a lottery ticket for them, but more likely it's a back up plan. If a top 10 pick doesn't sign, offer the money to Parker. It's also leverage against those picks. By the 19th round it's either lottery picks or low level org filler.

It's going to be a chore and there's going to be some hurt feelings getting our roster down to 34. There may be some portal guys we got that hop back into the portal in the fall.
