I read this morning this portal update for Miss State Baseball:
Mississippi State still has the top-ranked transfer portal class as of Saturday afternoon, but there’s been a lot of action this week. So, here’s a weekend update of what’s been going on in college baseball, starting with some rumors about the reigning SEC Newcomer of the Year.
Ace Reese rumors
If you read the various Mississippi State message boards or are on social media, then you likely saw some posts about other teams trying to poach Ace Reese away from Starkville.
No, Reese is not in the portal. Yes, he did make a social media post about returning to Starkville. No, neither of those things really matter.
If Reese wants to, he has until Monday to enter the transfer portal and go somewhere else. That’s his right. He just might want to make sure that other school isn’t coming Dudy Noble Field next season.
But beyond just rumors, speculation and vague statements about some transfer portal news, there are no indications Reese will enter the portal before it closes. At this point, it wouldn’t make sense. He hasn’t taken down the social media post (which would be the indicator of something happening) and Reese is good enough that any news would’ve already come out.
So, relax everyone. Or don’t. It’s entertaining either way.

They used to be twice the size. Now you barely get any food. The chisel on the fries too.

Rare disagreement with Todd here. Canes fingers by themselves are average to above average. Canes fingers with canes sauce wrapped in the toast is hard to beat. The canes sauce is the best in the industry.

just get the toast and sauce after you get your chicken from anywhere else. (Popeyes spicy legs for me).

Best place to get chicken the vast majority of the time is the gas station convenience store down the street.

Until you move out of the Deep South. Then you are SOL. Canes is more popular outside the deep south for this reason - they are the standard anywhere else.
Couple years ago we were traveling through Nebraska (food desert) where we go through regularly , when I realized there was a brand new canes right off I80. We immediately made that our normal stopping place for meals on future trips. It is that way even in most places in Texas

Sounds like you need to open a good fried chicken restaurant in Nebraska

I think this thread sums up why Mississippi people are so fat a baseball thread goes into fried chicken.

Can we please resume the freakout over the possible transfer of Ace Reese, who transferred to us from Houston, then announced he wasn't transferring, and now may be transferring after all?
Thanks in advance.

There's a hood quick store over here owned by some Gents from the Middle East. Their chicken is so good and they sell it all day long. Their spin? They use alot of tumeric in the breading. It's delicious. I bet they sell a thousand tenders per day and they close at 6pm due to the rough neighborhood.

The freakout about Reese was/is giving me a lot worse indigestion than the fried chicken. Every time I see a that new post has been made in this thread, I pray that it is about chicken and not Reese information.
