I don't like talking bad about players but I couldn't watch another highfill at bat anymore and he was a passed ball waiting to happen! Happy about Mcpherson and Burns, we needed both to stay and I understand we have some more help on the way!

Thats great but I would rather have a bunch of 275 hitters who know how to hit when there is a man on 2nd and 3rd with no outs than a hitter who hits a single HR once in awhile. Face it we sucked with men in scoring positions/

If we were down by 7 runs and it was late innings, and we had stranded 27 runners throughout the game, you could count on Hines to hit a solo shot with 2 outs.

yes, but I will take a lineup batting north of 0.300
Pressure on pitchers, opposing coach has to consider, more threats. They cannot pitch around hitters for the next guy.
This lineup will be a gauntlet.
edit: some 2 out hitting is just luck of the ball having eyes. But I agree, we need contact hitters with runners in scoring position.

My problem with him was it never seemed like he was serious out there. I felt like I was watching a really big Little Leaguer.
