I would tend to think it is James or Allen over Grace. Grace seems to want to take his visits

If that?s the case please be James. The way Steve talked earlier doesn?t seem we are pushing for Allen to commit just yet

No way around it, I am not understanding the WR recruiting right now. We are talking guys who were average MAC players. I mean maybe that is all we can get, but either way that will not win in this league.

And I am not saying I was sold on James either. The guy had one blow up game in a bowl game. And I get that his height was the reason we took Allen. But unless you feel damn solid on Evans and Williams, you do not pass up on the 6’2 SEC guy who runs a 4.3 for a MAC guy with the same height who had slightly above average stats at that level.

I know some on our coaching staff believe that System > Talent and that we will get production out of the guys we plug in, and I hope they are right, but at this point, no real point in arguing the talent has gone down at WR and CB and potentially OL. I think QB and HB are a wash, unless Booth comes back and then its a huge upgrade.
Defensively our front seven has improved a great deal, the only question I have is have we gone from bottom of the SEC to a top 9-10 DL. I'm not sure we have, I know we have improved, just not sure how much.

Not trying to throw shade at all, just asking a legit question. Weren’t you the one saying the other day that this offense creates WR stats? So which is it?

Oh I still believe that. What I was saying if you have the chance to go get a guy who runs a 4.3 at 6’2 or a guy who runs a 4.5 at the same height, you take the kid who runs a 4.3. Speed still kills.

Is James still a possibility?

It's more than speed. You need route runners. Also, a legit WR in the MAC is a legit WR in the SEC. It all translates seamlessly.

I would say no at this time. I think we may circle back if we do not get any traction with Evans, but with Williams committing in the next couple of days, it will be down to Evans or James. Staff would prefer Evans in that scenario.

No arguments from me. I just do not see this guy as a legit route runner in the MAC. I hope he proves me wrong.

He played at Wisconsin before transferring to the MAC. He's legit.

Looks like Ayden Williams is close to committing.

I know. And there is a reason he transferred to EMU. He did not fit into the Longo offense. Again, I hope I am wrong. I just do not think we had to beat anyone out for this kid. I do believe he was a take at Arky.
