They’re only 3 spots ahead of us. That’s not way better. We’re in the top 5 and aren’t done yet. They have to replace a lot of contributors. We’re replacing a lot of non-contributors and a couple contributors. Different situations.

I saw him today on TV and I was like "we need THAT guy."

Context matter too though. They have like 5-6 commits more than us. They brings their point total up.

If you look at average ours is actually comparable if not better.

That said, I think the most important thing is that we fill our needs. If we do that we should be in good shape and we can close the gap with smart moves.

Both of us essentially are completely replacing our teams from last year. For different reasons. But still.

Ole Miss will have a HUGE drop-off from last years team. They had top 5 talent and still tanked. Not making the playoffs hurt them with those elite players

All I said is they are killing it. Which they are.

They are higher. They also have 5 four star transfers vs our 1 four star (LK)

Would not be wholly shocked to see JJ Harrell remove his name from the portal and return. I think he thought the interest in him was stronger than it actually was. He got some bad advice and thought OM was going to pay him a bag. He is now realizing that he will either have to go mid tier P4 and learn a new system, go G5 and hope to show out, or come back here and battle for a spot.

He's going to have a make a move, because I think his classmates Ricky Johnson and Sanfrisco Magee are clearly ahead of him, and he's got incoming freshmen Davian Jackson, Isaiah Mitchell, Gracin Harris, and Anson Lewis to compete with now.

Their home games are USCe, Arkansas, Florida, and LSU. They have to travel to UK, UGA, OU, and us. That looks a lot touchier now than it would have looked in October. I see them between 7-9 wins.
OM has two easy schedules the SEC gave them and they're going after it as they should. After next season when that schedule flips, it can't be as easy for them. If they miss the playoffs again, Lane might as well leave.

I have heard he is chasing 3 NFL jobs right now. Saints, Giants, and Bears.

I know an ex-Saint. Can't say who or how b/c of HIPPA. He told me a couple of weeks ago that Lane is lobbying HARD for the Saint's job. There is interest but they are also looking at a couple of guys with more NFL coaching experience.

Be nice for him to leave at the start of the next portal cycle and teams poach the heck out of them. One can hope for a Christmas miracle!!

As a saints fan, I wouldn't hate it.

The Lewis kid will probably be brought in to compete for a ROSTER spot in the spring.
Who showed up out of these lists?

No it is Bledsoe. He is going to “officially” announce Sunday. But he committed to the staff yesterday.

All but the Wake guy showed up yesterday. All guys have shown up for todays. Our offer to Moton will be STRONG. Same with Bothwell.

Our coaches are EXTREMELY HIGH on Johnson and Magee. They love Johnson and think he could be a breakout guy this year.

That's 2 starters if we land them.
