Any defense has holes when u tell them what you're doing. The 49er DC got fired basically for decisions just like this. Going Cover 0 when it's not needed

What gets me is watching us play zone. It's like our guys are thinking "My assignment is to drop 7 yds and move 3 yds to my left and sit. Who gives a damn if there is a guy standing still, wide effing open 6 feet from me. I'm not moving until he catches the ball."

We had already 'won' the first half as a fan with our unexpected performance. 14-6 or 14-3 is no different. We exceeded expectations regardless. But on the off chance we pull it off and make it 10-7, we have the Longhorns wondering what the hell is going on.

Is this something we are teaching? Take the snap and not get the ball out, standing literally 3 yards behind the center? Hell, Starkville High can crash a qb that isn?t taking a drop.

Have the qb take the snap and do a three-five step drop? Seems almost too easy to buy a bit of space.
