The demise of Juco has really hurt our program as well.

Cliffs notes for everyone - I said we suck, made the wrong hire, and we would need a new coach for 2026 season.

It would take 2 or 3 million dollars for us to buy a real d-line now. Another million or so to keep the guys we can't afford to lose.

It's a factor though. Just like coaching turnover and bad hires are.

Right or wrong you are no different than KB. You would rather be right and State suck than be wrong and we be good.

Complete honesty here….who exactly would you classify as cannot afford to lose?

We hired an offense which is better odds than what we've done in the past.

Who are the guys on D we can't afford to lose? I can't say there's one guy on D we can afford to keep.

Getting smoked by Toledo has nothing to do with NIL. Give me a break.
They aren?t tossing dollars around.

Two infuriating things on that drive:
I can't stand the lack of discipline when players are unable to suspend the instinct to burn clock trying to fight for an extra yard when what they need to do is get the 17 out of bounds.
Apparently there is ONE universe in the multiverse where you don't take the points with one tick remaining from the TWELVE yard line. We're in it. You can't take very very significant risk of going into the half still down four scores. Lebby is now on probation in my mind. Hasn't lost me yet, but we can't have that BS.
The Liberation will not be televised--- when it arrives like lightning in the skies!

4 coaches in 5 years, bad recruiting on defense, and being 2 years late to embracing NIL is what killed our program.

It's a lot of things for sure. But no program benefited more from Juco recruiting than us.

Yep. But even that wasn't fatal. We were doing a good job of developing HS talent under Mullen. But the NCAA murdered the ability to be a development program with NIL and the portal. Now you not only have to recruit new kids, you have to re-recruit your existing players who are being tapped up by bigger, richer programs. Then there's the impatient group of kids who leave because they aren't playing enough. And they don't even have to notify the school or staff, they can just go. It's ridiculous. Hope everyone who wanted this is happy with it.

Bingo, nailed it. If a really bad decision can be made if feel confident that we will hit that mark every time.

You wanted Lebby fired in the 1st quarter of his 2nd game. Sorry man but that's incredibly stupid.
