It?s coaching, but that doesn?t fall squarely at Lemo?s feet. What does fall at his feet is that he?s not firing the assistants who don?t do enough as quickly as he should. He?s the head ball coach of a major baseball program. Recruiting and being the face of the program is his biggest job. If you can?t rely on your hitting coach to get the guys to you know?.hit, there?s no reason to have one. If you want to fire him, we will fire him for his hiring of bad assistants and not for a lack of talent on our roster.

Chris Lemons IS MSU baseball. It is not Ron Cholk, John Cohen or Everett Kenard. Lemons deserves a lifetime contract AND a better fan base. Not a bunch of whiny loosers

This kid has to be an OM troll or at least an OM grad with the word of loosers instead of losers

Does it hurt to be that dumb? Like I'm genuinely curious

Chris Lemons is not dumb. He’s the best coach in the SEC and one of the best in the nation

I love how you misspell your own last name. Classic lol

Ok I hope we get absolute studs and go off next year.
That said, "replacing" Kohler isn't what we need. We need to UPGRADE Kohler, who was one of the bottom 3 bats in the lineup. Similarly, just being able to lost a name of a guy on the roster doesn't mean we are OK at that position. Like Cupp may be great next year but he also may not be able to hit the ball and it's very unlikely he'll hit like Mershon. And who's going to replace Jordan or Hujsak?
There's a lot of time for Lemo to recruit the Portal, I'm not saying we WON'T get the guys we need. I'm saying there's a ton of ground to make up and "replacing" kohlers back isn't the win some seem to think it is

Gotro and Lemons will clean up the small school guys while TN and A&M etc will grab the big guns. I've already said I'm not for firing Lemonis this season. But people get so offended when I say he's average. I hope he changes my mind with better recruiting and wins.
I'm not offended, and he's not average - HE'S WAAAAAAYYYYY BELOW AVERAGE!!!!!!!!

We don?t have A&M level offensive talent. Not that it means wins all of the time, but we are a good ways from having 3 dudes hit over 20 bombs.
-
We could pick up a few Beer League Softball hitters to replace Johnny Long and get the same or better results. But I suspect State will be playing with several DII level starters next year. Hard to recruit from the beach chair or a golf cart.

Lemonis is the issue, period. I think he knows he is recruiting the portal for his job as another 22 or 23 season gets him his walking papers. We will see if his bucket sitting, Fred Sanford chest grabbing/rubbing ass can do anything when it counts. He is still employed because of Parker, make no mistake about it.

I think Frei is an upgrade offensively over Kohler.
Is he gonna come here and hit .350 and 20 HRs? Probably not, but the potential is there for a .300ish hitter with 10+ bombs. I have more concerns about him defensively than I do with the bat.
My #1 want currently is Ethan Conrad from Marist. 6'3, 200 lbs. Bats and throws left-handed and can play 1b or OF.
Hit .389 with 9 HRs, 18 doubles, 13 triples, 52 RBI, and a 1.171 OPS. Also stole 19 bases and has a 6.5 60 time, so he's fast. 13% K rate so strikeouts aren't a problem. Perfect 2 hole hitter imo

He hired Parker. So good job Chris!

I'm saying if the floor is replacing Kohler with the same stats we did well. Because odds are he will be better.

Exactly. These anti Lemons loosers are ridiculous. He is the best baseball coach in MSU history, PERIOD

While the rich get richer, we mid along at MSU baseball. As expected, the bigger fish are swimming to other programs. The struggle to reel in the big boys is real. Hopefully Parker works his magic on the pitching side.

Since our "Carnegie Hall of College Baseball Stadium" is still not being used for the third consecutive year for June baseball, on your evaluation I will have maintenance grind the Polk-Dement name off the stadium and replace with Lemonis.**** Statue of him sitting on his bucket will also be installed between Clark and Palmeiro.****** P.S. I think the term you are looking for is "losers", not "loosers". However, you may be correct, as a Lemonis "looser" might be someone who doesn't want to hold on to him tightly as HC in years to come.*** On to football! Hail State!

We need to host 3-4 times a decade. If you think we should host more than that- your expectations are way above what’s realistic
Walk like the King or walk like you don't care who the King is
