It's called getting hot at the right time, talent, & COACHING!!! UF has all of those qualities, and we have at best 1/2 of one of them, and that is talent. You don't see well-coached teams making the same stupid-ass base running blunders we had this year, not to mention hitting coaching. The pitching results showed what great coaching can achieve, but the other 2 pieces (base running/situational awareness & hitting) are sadly lacking.

They literally have the best player in the country and one of the best rosters every season.

The crime is that they underachieved during the season

Coaching? Meathead O'Malley? If he was a good coach Florida would be your defending national champions.

We can only judge a month from now, UVA might be a top 4 team in Omaha.

MSU lost to UVA like MSU lost to Arkansas and Texas A&M, just a small difference and good clutch performance from the opponent. Talking outside of the 9th inning meltdown

Maybe MSU wins any other regional not in Charlottesville and certainly wins a home regional.

With all the high school talent in the state of Florida I could go to the University of Florida and be head coach and win a Nattie.

Florida significantly underachieved this year. If I recall they were preseason top 5. It seems as though they are coming around now and could be dangerous if they get to Omaha

FL had no business in the field, plus they got a gift of a draw. Now they'll probably go on an OM run and win it all. Seems to be the common thing these days.

Think about this. They played an extra game and their starter in the final game still had borderline first round stuff. 6'5 frame and was 93-96 with an 85-87 mph slider followed by a lefty that was 90-92 with an 80-82MPH breaking ball That is how. They have tons of top end talent and just got hot at the right time. They have the arms to win the thing. The amount of top end talent on that roster blows our roster out of the water.

If I am hosting a regional the last two teams I would want to see are Florida and LSU year in and year out because they arguably have better talent than any team in any regional they go to. All they have to do is get hot at the right time.
