Hate we had to use Davis. He won't be available tomorrow. But at least it wasn't for naught

I told my son and friends that tonight. He just had a not too overly violent swing and hit a fly out to oppo that went out.
Plenty of power. I believe he was actually trying to get a base hit.

Yep. Controlled swing. That is all he has to do.

Here is the weird thing. If Larry hits his out, Dakota doesn?t get a shot. Glad he did. Hope it reminds him, stay on the ball, don?t try to do too much and put the barrel on the ball. It doesn?t take a full super cut at it. Not with his power.

Say what you will about Lemonis, but he's now 17-5 in NCAA Tournament games.

That's pretty serious right there. Maybe he's more of a post season manager. Course you gotta get to post season first

He's gotta get convinced all he has to do is make contact dude has so much pop in that bat.

Having Dohm back will really help IMO. We also have Hardin and Schuelke available as well.
Also we didn't burn Davis up enough to where we can't use him in game three- which is very important.

Lots of leadership in the dugouts for this to happen.

If Lemonis has a loaded team he has shown that he won't screw it up. And actually there is something to be said for that.
It's going to be interesting to see if he does anything with the hitting in the offseason. Replacing Foxhall worked really well. And the reality is Lemonis is only as good as his assistants. I wouldn't be surprised if we at least hire a hitting analyst in the offseason if not a new hitting coach.
