Besides winning, I want a team that's disciplined and has the kind of consistency that will be able to win games in the tourney. Jans checks a lot of the boxes that are needed, but I'm worried that his offense will depend too much on outside shooting, which is what I saw against UConn. It's a crapshoot every night against good teams if that's your offense. Hopefully he's the kind of coach that will adjust to whatever kind of talent he has to work with. Other than that concern, I can see this being a really good hire.

He’s adjusted multiple times at NMSU. He plays to his personnel.

Do something else like not sign your best players for the last 3 staffs? You can do a lot of things new & different replacing George isn’t 1 of em. Same way Tony Hughes stays through coaching changes Brooks does too & he’s just as important as Tony is.

Cheating is legal now. Any asst can figure out who to get the envelope to in this era of college basketball. There are tons of guys with contacts to make things happen out there.
