Howland needs to save that video to show how to beat pressure.

I'm not sure we can even make NIT. Will NIT take a team with a losing record because that is where we are headed.

Gotta go inside because we can't shoot.
When we do Tolu misses free throws so there's that......I think he was 1-6 tonight.......

Ben Howland is 14-10 and has lost 6 of his last 8 games.
All he had to do was be average down this stretch, and we're probably going dancing. Can't wait for this shit show to be over.

Why did BJ kill out momentum when we gained the lead by taking Carter out? Having him handle the ball and putting Mol at the 2 was working then he took him out until 1 min to go.

The way we play makes me wonder if we practice against air.

I think the other thing is the sum of years underperforming just piles up as well. We got to do something different.
Move the students, hire an up and coming coach. Bring back MSU basketball.
Apparently you weren't here in the 70's and 80's.

Yes I followed in 80s not 70s. We were never that good in 80s. Had Jeff Malone several years and Wells and few others. You have to remember too the NCAAT was like 48 teams back then too so harder to get in.

I didn't watch, but I can guess how this went.
One particular player had a bunch of turnovers. When they guarded us for the full court our offense stalled. For no reason at all, we had a large portion of the game where it seemed like out players absolutely refused to score.
We lost.
Did I nail it?

I didn't watch it just like I haven't watched a single game all season but continue to read the game page. This seems just about accurate as all the rest....

I didn't watch. I did watch the last 5 minutes of the TN game and deeply regretted it. I feel sorry for any MSU fan putting any real emotional investment in MSU men's basketball at this point. I really like Ben Howland as a person, but its time we go in a different direction with our program.

You missed the part where they had Mol as the 2 and he scored 10 in 4 mins then made him the 1 again and he went south/

You actually think Garcia is an SEC player? 🐂 💩. He plays HORRIBLE defense just like everyone else in the team. But he is pathetic. Small and slow. Typical for State basketball now.
I would start 4.1,20,5 and 35. We know they aren?t gonna get coached so just let ?em run.

Another thing that really angers me about Howland is the officials can make bad call after bad call and he not go off on the officiating. He will just stand there with his mouth open. Officials know this and don?t worry about making horrible calls because they know they don?t have to worry about a coach showing them up.
Furthermore the officials also know our AD will not say or do anything publicly to the SEC office (see MSU vs Memphis in football). Also we get bad calls against us because we are non-blue blood of basketball.
Cohen it?s time you earn your paycheck. Go hire a coach that has just a little blood flowing and a little fire in the belly. Hire coach that is current with the game. Hire a coach that can make a ?a strong ass offer? to recruits. Hire a coach that will promote the program to the fan base (see Bruce Pearl)

You just described Sean Miller and he would be the perfect hire. So we know Cohen will fail to even interview him.

Yea, not sure how you go from being the Intense Bastard to a seemingly total pacifist? Looks like he has made the transformation though.
