Would Ed O take the job of Defensive line coach/ recruiting coordinator at MSU?

I know i would love to have him. I know he will take a year off at least but I think he would greatly improve our recruiting and possibly put us near the top 15 in recruiting....

It would also be a shot for him to stick it to LSU and OM.
I just really do not know if he'd take the job, I had heard rumors that he wanted to come here to be defensive coordinator a while back but mullen would not hire him.

Even at a positional spot, we don't need his complete disregard for off-the-field discretion. We can't deflect scrutiny from that kind of thing like an LSU can, even if we were willing to tolerate it.

He would get more high profile offers than that. Any blue blood in the country would hire his as a DL coach.

He gonna be the head coach at LaLa or LaMonroe in the next few years.

I'm sure there is a non-compete clause in his settlement.

ETA: Just read he has non-compete clause that prohibits him from becoming a SEC HC (but it doesn't mention anything outside of HC) for 18 months. He is still listed as a defendant in the Guice rape case though, so.... That doesn't seem like something the administration would overlook.

Not as a DL coach there won’t be.

Sure there is. And with his connections in Louisianna, we should definitely try to get him on board.

Hopefully it would never be offered. We don't need that baggage.

I have a feeling he will be with Kiffin before he comes here (if Kiffin goes to the U or FL)

    Coach O in Miami. Damn.

I can see the comedy skits of him and Kiffin sitting on South Beach looking at all the tail. Kiffin drinking a Mojito and O drinking a PBR.

If he hadn't been the head coach at OM, I guaran-damn-tee you they would have no problem overlooking whatever baggage he has in order to get him in Oxford as a recruit coordinator. They don't give a flying 17 about off the field issues if it means 5* and publicity.

Kiffin and O back together again should scare the hell out of anyone. An elite play caller and an absolutely elite recruiter?Miami would be top of the ACC within 2 years.

He's getting paid 17 million to not coach. Don't think we could match that but I'm all for it if we can!
