Legget
Does he start at 1B today? I'm no insider but that move caught me way off guard. Even Jim and Jay seemed a bit concerned when we ran him out there. So far I like what I see though.
-
Hell, I would. Leggett isn't going to set the world on fire, but literally any offense is a plus as long as he isn't a huge drop off defensively. He made a good play over there last night. We'll see
-
He's good with the glove but just the experience, or lack thereof, kinda concerns me. Everyone seems to think 1B is easy to play but it's not. It's not like beer league softball.

Is Pimental bad at 1st? He can at least run into one at the plate

Or Clark. Who at this point offensively wouldn't be worse.

Yep. Makes no sense

Keep Leggett but I wish we could put James at 1b and have Leggett at 3b
What a mess at 1B!
-
Any warm body is an improvement offensively. I think Clark deserves a shot

More importantly is can we get someone who can throw the ball to 1B withot it going into the 1B dugout!

I know James is doing the best he can but I gotta say I hold my breath everytime a ball is hit to third.

He's wild in warm ups too. I don't know if it's his throwing motion or what. I think if he took some off of it, he might have better success because he always looks like he's trying to throw it over there as fast as he can.

Jay Powell really addressed this last night. The slow dribblers are the ones that get him. I can't remember to which side. But said he only struggles when balls are hit that way.

This is my thought as well. James actually looks like a 1B

If I was an opposing coach I would bunt his way several times a game, could wind up on second or third.

Big time! I now know why Landon throws the ball to first base after a strike out**

Me too. When we over shift any bunt to third is a easy hit, I can't understand not bunting for any team at any level.

Agree. I'm not a big fan of bunting BUT strategically it can be very very effective.

Leggett is starting at 3B, James to DH, Hancock 1B, Cumbest OF
Lemo has seen enough

Well he has watched it more than enough for a while now. Especially the black hole at first, offensively.
