players in the conference. Yes that includes 4 as well. He is pulling the Kylin hill. Drop it and he is hurt. I have seen enough of him. We could not block them nor catch the ball. That is where we lost the game.
They were so physical with us it threw our routes off by yards. Screwed the timing to hell. Will had some late throws and missed a sure TD to Tulu. That did Not help but he played well enough to win the game. He had several dimes that were dropped by 4 11 and 5
They kicked our ass on the perimeter on defense as well. They blocked us and won on a fade vs our best corner who was so busy running his mouth he forgot how to play man coverage. It was not awful coverage but he got beat and they let him know about it. Overall I thought the safeties were a lot better but they are still not SEC ready. They will be better next year with Dean and Peters back. MJ Daniels could start day 1.
The officials were bad. Both sides. Calling their hit on marks off but saying Spencer targeted their RB while he is being carted off is a shame and if I am that kids Dad I am finding out who made that call.
2 weeks in a row we lost on execution. No one to blame but ourselves. Leach has got to get some WRs in that will fight and can make plays . We are running an air raid with 2 decent WRs. Simple as that.
yeah. great post. Worst skill position players in the conference, outside Vandy, but they don't count.

On a side note, ran into Dillon Johnson after the game at the hotel. Was with his family. Told him good game and keep working hard. It will come. He was very respectful and a nice young man. His family as well. Hopefully this young group will keep getting better and work hard.
Dillons a great young man and a hard worker. He will get better. And I have hope for the freshmen as well.

2 is a solid player, but his arm has to get stronger & he's got to put on some weight. Again, solid player but isn't dynamic enough to make something happen right now when things aren't perfect

Will didn't play great, but on a list of 10 things wrong with this team, he's about 7 or 8 down the list

with the way these defenses are playing us cover 2, etc, it's going to take a QB with a cannon to complete a decent percentage of deep balls.

I'm not even talking so much about deep balls. I'm talking about the ball getting to the WRs faster & off balance throws having more zip on them.

Did you watch the game? He was subpar at best

I'd say he's at about 4 or 5. He's not our biggest problem, but there were several instances where we had a WR wide ass open and Will didn't see him because he was keeping everything right in front of him. Hopefully that gets better with experience, but he missed two TD passes where the WR could've walked in. One to Heath, the other to Tulu. He also doesn't have the arm strength I would like. Everything looks like a lob. He's going to have to work his ass off to avoid Sawyer beating him out.

Dillon Johnson needs to play more than Marks. Johnson at least makes the defenders work to get him down. Marks goes down if the wind blows hard enough. He needed a year in the weight room, but thanks Kylin

Shogun spent half the game thread saying will sucks, and today, will is back to the savior. Shotgun flip flops constantly

Until there is some kind of running threat that at least allows us to incorporate some play action- this offense isnt going to work in the SEC. It doesnt matter who we recruit.

I know there's a BIG difference between high school and an SEC defense but Sawyer has a cannon. Again, I know it's high school but he reads the defense and sees the field so well. I think we're in for a real treat with this guy.

I've said this since the Kentucky game. But I keep being fed excuses about not having the right players, Covid, freshmen, first year, yada yada.
But I completely agree. This current form of the pure air raid is never going to work. Leach's former assistants and players who have gone on to be head coaches (Klingsbury, Lincoln Riley, Heupel) run air raid concepts with the presence of a running threat and play action. The offense we're running is outdated.

Completely agree, I firmly believe Leach is going to have several index cards next year instead of one. I think he knows this is the Big Time and he's going to prove to himself and everyone else he can succeed here.

Exactly. We struggled to move the ball on Vandy and Mississippi. We have more talent on offense than they do on D. The 2020 Mississippi defense is one of the worst SEC defenses in the last 20 years. They were giving up 40 per before us- we scored 24. Kentucky with their one-dimensional run offense put 41 on them. We may add some talent for next year- but it wont change how ridiculous the offense is. Teams will still pass drop and then come up to tackle on runs and dump downs.
Leach will have to change to make this work

This. People wonder why our offensive line struggles to pass block when these SEC defensive lines are rushing the passer every snap and totally ignoring any threat of a run game.

You can?t be dead last in rushing and expect the passing game to be worth a flip.

He?s about 205 right now. Leach aint gonna let him get much bigger than 220ish.
His Arm is fine. He has to learn to never throw a 1on1 to 5. Waste of time and a likely pick

I agree Will has had better games but this too is part of his development as was for most of the team ... There's plenty of room for blame across the entire spectrum but we ARE in a rebuild when everyone here originally thought we weren't. Players are going to have off games but Will is in there to replace a 5th year Senior at the most critical position on a football team - True Freshman is usually < 5th year Senior but not in this case so let's at least acknowledge we have a good future with this guy and appreciate him giving what he's got because he will only get better - I can see it in him as most other folks can
OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Ole Miss campus police ask students to behave at future baseball games following a recent incident.
The university said students were reportedly throwing rocks at Georgia baseball players during last weekend's series.
