    Montez Sweat

    Just ran a 4.42

That means we had a 6'6" 260 lbs 4.4 red zone target on the roster that we not once attempted to use on offense.

    Wow

From an Xs & Os standpoint, what do you do with a Sweat type talent?

Do you put him at DE or do you put him at OLB and let him be a Mack/Von Miller type?

He could run down Zeke and cover OBJ.

Trace McSorley was fastest QB at 4.57, the commentators said their looking at him as a DB, Nick as a TE.

Just depends on your scheme. DE in 4 man front or OLB in 3 man front. I would not put him at end in the 3 man front (like Fletcher Cox). He did it for us in 2017, but it wouldn't be his best spot in the NFL.

Think about it, faster than OBJ, Antonio Brown, Zeke, and every DL ever at the combine.

And not once was this idea suggested by anyone so let's not act like the coaches are suddenly stupid for not trying it now that Sweat shocked the world with this time. Literally nobody on the planet saw this time coming.

One our own cornerbacks (Smitherman) tweeted right before to watch for a 4.4 from Sweat.

Ok nobody on the planet said they saw it was coming before today. Props to Smitherman for calling it though.

How did no MSU coach, staff member, fellow player, or fan/supporter not know (this cat could run fast)?

So our strength and conditioning and coaches didn't know how fast he was?

How does a fast 40 translate to red zone target?
