Its my understanding that Schrader had a labrum surgery he is recovering from. Not a good recipe to count on him as a true Fr.

Surgery was before his last season, he played and performed well. It will not be a issue.

Fitz was Mullen's chosen QB & was in the system for 4 years with Mullen. Not exactly a fair comparison IMO

Mullen’s offense is a run first spread. Fitz thrived there because he came from a triple option offense. He still sucked throwing the ball but it’s easier to make a 5-10 yard pass then the intermediate to long pass plays Moorhead’s offense requires. What sucks though most is Mullen actually is breaking out of that a little at Florida because he has speedier better receivers this year. He could have had that kind of offense here too but his lazy recruiting on receivers got the better of him over his 9 years here so he just chose to run the football most of the time. He easily could have put together great receivers and had a more balanced spread and probably could have won at a higher level here and we wouldn’t have such a bad rap on receivers.

Agree, right now I like Moorhead much better as a person than a coach. His offense has been hot garbage against any team with a decent defense. Shoop's defense is the primary reason we got to 8-4. Finishing this year at 8-5, if that is what happens, is still an overall disappointment and I expect us to be worse next year.

Schedule is easier. We played a pair of top 15 teams as our east opponents this year, but we'll swap Florida for non-bowl Tennessee, and Kentucky will almost definitely come back to Earth, probably out of the top 25.

At Tennessee won't be any easier than Florida at home last season. We are at Auburn, at A&M and at Arkansas. Plus, Bama and likely-LSU are losses next season. Tougher schedule.

Playing on the road at a terrible team is a lot easier than playing at home against a top 10 team.
