We may be looking at 4-8 or 5-7 next year, unless there's a huge upgrade at qb and wr. No more defense bailing us out and schedule is tougher.

I like Moorhead. I'm not die hard anti-joe like some on this board, but it's unreal how better Fitz was under Mullen. Fitz never was Drew Brees but he completed passes with regularity. Fitz is only usable for his legs and without those there's no way he starts for any D-1 school at QB. Looking at the QBs behind Fitz is worrisome as they're basically Fitz clones.

Agree, right now I like Moorhead much better as a person than a coach. His offense has been hot garbage against any team with a decent defense. Shoop's defense is the primary reason we got to 8-4. Finishing this year at 8-5, if that is what happens, is still an overall disappointment and I expect us to be worse next year.

That's bc Fitz was recruited for Mullen's system. He's asked to perform over his skill level in Joe's system. I like Fitz but he's a bad QB.

And to be fair our WRs have been the definition of unreliable as well. Osirus cost us the Fla game and Guidry outside of a few plays has been a complete disappointment. Recruit rankings should indicate that we have some talent at the position but the play on the field is hard to watch. I'm not sure if it's more the player or the coaching.

We are significantly more talented than Iowa but when you factor in our lack of a passing game and the refs you have what you have.
