Yeah, you can't improve a weak arm, no wheels, and the fear of being hit. It's why he was built for Leach. He could throw short passes into zone coverage and get rid of it quick without getting hit. It's also why as much as we all love him, we all know he limits us.

Even Leach wanted him to push the ball downfield more.

No, he didnt. He wanted him to run the offense like it was meant to be ran. We were triple option, yall got tired of the dumpoffs exactly lie giving the dive.
Saying Will has a weak arm is just false. Weak compared to who? Brett Favre? Sure

The first half o didn't look too good. Second half was fine. This should've been expected with a giant shift of philosophy.
I'd like to remind everyone that we just had 525 yards of offense. Leach's O against a worse FCS team by far only managed 418. Did put up more points though. We're on the right track.

Pretty sure Leach wanted him to throw it to guys that were wide open down the field when that was the case.

Thing is when we bring in Wright to bail us out it's not going to be against a tired FCS defense. One of the most concerning things to me about last night is it was still a game with about 8 minutes left in the third quarter. If SELU had gotten a cheap TD off of an INT, fumble, guy slips down, and etc. and then all of a sudden it's 20-14 and we're on upset watch on every TV in America. Now thankfully it didn't play out like that it has been awhile since I was somewhat concerned about the outcome of a game against a FCS team- probably the first time since we played Samford and Sirmon had no clue how to stop them.

Well yeah, but that didnt happen majority of the time. They took that away so you had to give the dive

Todd, I love ya, but we were not the only SEC team Saturday that didn't start putting the lesser opponent away until the third quarter.

One of the things I believe about this staff is that they will play the best players we have. If a player is struggling to the point of costing us a game. He will sit. This includes all positions. Hail State!

I know. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't have done so sooner.
Or the other teams either.
