Jimmy Buffett has died at age 76.....

Sad day for parrot heads and the music world. Native born Mississippian too.

Now he lives in the islands
    Fishes the pilings
And drinks his green label each day
    Writing his memoirs
    Losin' his hearin'
But he don't care what most people
Through eighty-six years of perpetual motion
If he likes you he'll smile, and he'll say,
"Jimmy, some of it's magic, some of it's tragic
But I had a good life all of the way"

Have to think JB will still be singing and strumming on that heavenly beach. Until we see you again Bubba.

Hate to hear this. Always one of my favorites! Trying To Reason With Hurricane Season and God's Own Drunk are my favorites.

Very sad day indeed. RIP James Delaney Buffett Jr. He was definitely one of my favs.

As being a older parrot head. First time I saw Buffett in concert was 1975 at the Bennett Auditorium on USM campus for one dollar.

    Some many dang great lyrics.

I guess it is kind of fitting that he left this world on Labor Day Weekend. One of my favorites.

You know you're getting old when over half the records you own were made by dudes no longer above ground.
