We bout to get some of that gubment money for DWS?

There's some congressional act regarding maintaining historic stadiums.

    https://www.businesswire.com/news/ho...sured-Stadiums

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--US Representatives Garret Graves (R?Louisiana) and Mark Pocan (D?Wisconsin) announced today the launch of the Historic Stadium Caucus. The caucus will bring together a bipartisan group of Congressmembers to work on preserving the legacy and protecting the integrity of these treasured venues across America while enhancing their capabilities, so they are able to continue to host world-class sporting events and concerts for generations to come.

"At the launch, eighteen of the most iconic college football venues are committed to participating in the Historic Stadium Caucus. These include:

Beaver Stadium (Penn State University, State College, Pennsylvania),
Camp Randall Stadium (University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin),
    Cotton Bowl (Dallas, Texas),
Davis Wade Stadium (Mississippi State University, Starkville, Mississippi),
Franklin Field (University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania),
Husky Stadium (University of Washington, Seattle, Washington),
Jordan-Hare Stadium (Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama),
Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum (University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California),
Memorial Stadium (University of California, Berkeley, California),
Memorial Stadium (University of Illinois, Champaign, Illinois),
Memorial Stadium (Clemson University, Clemson, South Carolina),
Nippert Stadium (University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio),
    Rose Bowl Stadium (Pasadena, California),
SJSU Spartan Stadium (San Jose State University, San Jose, California),
Tiger Stadium (Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana),
Vaught?Hemingway Stadium at Hollingsworth Field (University of Mississippi, Oxford, Mississippi),
Wallace Wade Stadium (Duke University, Durham, North Carolina), and
Yale Bowl (Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut).

That's all well and good but I think I would rather have my tax dollars saving lives then having a little nicer fan experience.

Our cash which Biden is sending to Ukraine might have saved a few lives but it's so intertwined with his son's activities that one can make the argument that some of the folks lost their lives simply to cover for the Biden syndicates activities. Maybe we could somehow follow the Biden lead and funnel some of that cash to our NIL coffers and really get some benefit. Talk about some true political activity, that's sure how to do it.

How are we saving lives by prolonging the inevitable and trying to escalate to WW3? We started this mess with the coup the Obama Admin sponsored in Ukraine in 2014 and pushing NATO closer and closer to Russia.

I'm with Pancho let's play like politicians and funnel it to NIL.

Exactly. Ukraine situation cannot stand. Hence why literally everyone in the world we would call an ally is also supporting Ukraine.

Money to Ukraine is not/has not/will not be about the good of any people.

A guy I used to coach pee wee with worked for a company that donated to a local charity that helped poor kids afford equipment and entry fees for sports. He was the point person for the company donations. I listened to him call the charity one day and tell them that he (his company) had made a donation and he needed a big chunk of it paid back to his team to cover uniforms for kids that didn't need help.

It was a tiny little example of how all of this government "good will" works. Nobody's getting helped without kickbacks. Nobody.

It almost seems like we are allowed to talk politics as long as it leans hard right.

The only thing wrong with what we have sent to Ukraine is there has been FAR too little of it. Give them what they need to fight so we don't have to spend our own blood eventually.

No one stopping you from sending your own money. I just don't want politicians stealing mine to send to one of the most corrupt places in the world.

It?s amazing how the war hawks of this country have suddenly adopted the progressive platform.

While we are cutting aid money let?s cut it for Israel (especially because they?re rich) Japan (also rich), Taiwan, and Germany.
