Fox should have been gone last year. Lemonis kept him now he's tied to fox. Lemonis can only hope a miracle happens and things work out at the end. Just don't see it getting better without fox though don't see how it gets worse. Unless we can hire a pitching coach, I really don't care. Even then who would we get. Probably better options at the end of the season. Who would come knowing it's just for half the season and then it's likely a new staff and you have your name stuck with guys who have to be "fixed" mid-season.
My guess is we keep him and we don't make the tournament and then they are both gone. Lemonis didn't make the "hard" decision now he's going to pay the price

If we can get someone to manage the staff better and pull pitchers sooner that in and of itself will lead to improvement.
So bringing someone else in might work and it might not- but keeping Foxhall won't work so I'm absolutely willing to try someone else. Some of our fans have to get this idea out of their heads that bringing someone else in midseason won't help anything. Last time we did something like that it worked out quite well with Henderson.
The 2018 team had leadership and testicles in the locker room too. Those players didn?t quit, the 2023 team has quit. Realistically we are looking at somewhere between 7-9 conference wins.

What do you want Hancock to do? Start making pitching changes? Tell Foxhall to start individualizing pitching programs? Call pitches from first base?
There's only so much the players can do.
Jake Mangum and Tanner Allen wouldn't make our situation better in the mound.

Interim pitching coaches I would call...
Roy Oswalt
Jay Powell
Trevor Fitts
Russ McNickle
I'm sure there are several others that would be willing to help, but even if they all said no, I think we'd be better served without a pitching coach than keeping the one we have.
This is the very last opportunity to make a change before this team's post-season fate is sealed, so if there's any possibility that this team can make a run, it has to start with dramatic change to what we are doing on the mound. Yes, the odds are between slim and none, but it's clear that we aren't fixing anything by making some tweaks in how we manage the games. We have to get these guys pitching like they are capable of.

Pitching isn't our only issue.
Dead last in fielding and pitching. Middle of pack in hitting. Offense is certainly our strength, but it isn't good. We're a bad all around team

It isn't our only issue but just having "good leadership" from the players isn't going to solve the main issue.
Those other issues- it's harder to make players give a shit about them when the pitching staff is giving up 16 a game.
