We need Cade to come back or Holcombe to take a rotation spot. I like Gartman and Yntema, but they're both Sunday guys and we're having to pitch one of them on Saturday.

    Friday: Cijntje
    Sat: Cade
    Sun: Gartman

Starting well in the SEC will be huge for this team. I think Lemonis treats this weekend like a Super Regional. Have a full staff commitment to getting 3 wins. Every winnable game is precious.

I hope we are working Hujsak and Downs at 3B. Getting that slot filled with a complete player could be huge, like Marshall Gilbert in 2018. People forget this catcher made an in-season switch. Then there was Brent Rooker playing 1B to help MSU get another player in the OF. BR had never played 1B at elite level.

Like that rotation. We really are going to need Cijntje and Gartman to eat some innings so our bullpen is in a good place come Sunday.

It's like we have a rotation made up of guys who are almost what they should be, but just not quite.

Not having Cade, Nixon, and Pico is basically missing half the expected SEC staff. Got to go-to-war with the players we have, Siary and Tapper have unique opportunities to become freshman legends.

I love Tappers makeup. I knew when I saw him pitch a couple times last year he was gonna be good. He's competitive and has a mean streak in him. In the state championship a runner was on second and relaying pitches to the hitter. Tapper caught him and threw the next pitch under the hitters chin turned around, walked toward the runner and waved a finger at him. They didn't do that again !
