Hopefully Cade will be available too about then. And if we could get KC to give us 1 or 2 good RP innings a weekend, we can have the makings of a solid "return-to-regionals" pitching staff. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I believe the staff is making sure that Cade and Nixon are completely ready for the start of sec play. Making sure they're 100% healthy or close to it

Good week of baseball. HAD to have a 4-0 week and got it thank goodness.

Amazing when we don't walk a small village we win. Wonder what the correlation is? Lol
We're actually pretty good when we throw strikes.

Lol, we pitch like a mental midget. If we can get over the mental yips, this team will be fine. Maybe as high as regional host team. Just need to relax and throw strikes.

I agree. It seems to come in spurts though. We can be cruising along and the all of a sudden boom can't throw a strike. I believe part of it is the terrible strike zones we've seen that are so inconsistent, the pitch clock and some questionable pitch selection. At times, We get ahead 0-2 and then throw breaking balls off the plate trying to get chases instead of attacking when the hitters behind in the count.

What's the story with Pico?
Everyone wants to be a beast...until its time to do what beasts do.

If KC is going to be used, it's going to be for more than 1-2 innings. If he gets his stuff back like he showed tonight, he will be. Difference maker.

Anybody hear anything about an altercation or near altercation with Alford and another player on the Frisco trip? Heard that at the game today. All I know is that Alford?s body language when he came in said I don?t give a sh*t and I could care less.

I think the pitch signaling system is contributing as well.

That would be great, BUT at this point, I'd settle for a reliable short-inning bullpen arm that can capably team with Dohm & Nixon to lockdown the back end of our games.

What I'm seeing is that KC will either have it or he won't. If you can't trust him for 3-4 innings, you can't trust him with one...

Yeah that trying to get them to chase a sweeping breaking bal that is already a ball is frustrating.
Let them hit and play d.

Agreed. I forgot about that. You're right.

Yea these game threads are so funny reading after we won in a blowout. The sky is falling, then crickets... Like I have been saying. We are young and the more we play together, the more consistent we will get in the field. Pitching looked pretty good this wknd. We don't walk a ton, we win games Plain and simple.
