The big problem is that we are going to get blown out. If we played like we did @ Mizzou and lost by a couple that would be different but we just keep letting them made 3s with no adjustments so a big loss ruins it all

Yeah, got to play out top, like you would in the NCAA tourney. Got to get out past the three line and guard the entire court.
If not, every single time we back off a foot they are shooting it.

Double checked, it says 7:30.

When your post player is not having a good game, you have to make up double digit deficits with the 3. That is not a part of our game. Maybe State will be a 1 seed in the NIT get those big home crowds they are used to. Probably better to win a couple or 3 in the NIT then one and done in a 25 pt blowout in round 1 of NCAA.🙄🙄🙄

They have outscored us by 15 points from behind the arc 21-6. Everybody harps on perimeter defense against the 3 but the best defense against the 3 is the diameter of the rim. A good passing team that has the defense trying to outrun the ball to the next guy still has to make 21 foot shots. There is a reason why the average 3 pt. % is around 30%. It is a low % shot. Sometimes trams have great shooting nights and sometimes coaches recruit 3 pt shooters. Our previous coach didn?t and our players don?t.

We have been horrible all season long trying to get a good shot off with 7 or so seconds left in the clock and DJ usually ends up with the ball and a desperation, bad shot.

Our best player is Tolu Smith. Our best weapon is our defense. Unless something crazy happens those two facts will win or lose this game.
