Women?s Second Round Game - aTM

We had a decent lead and I went out for a bit only to find were down eight. Surely we can overcome this team.

Don't look at Texas A&M record. Their top 3 players were hurt all season and they have all been back the last couple games. We still shouldn't have given up a 10 point lead like that.

Yep, and getting the rebounds, too.

EDIT: I?m no female basketball player, but it would seem the big lashes would inhibit some of your view on the court.

No hate/personal attack intended. Just an observation.

It's only an issue if seeing the court is a priority. I think that's on down the list.

TAMU had 23 assists on 30 made shots. That's unreal.

Shot over 60% from 3 and shot over 50% from the field.

There's no sugar coating that this is a bad loss at a bad time. I'm very confident we will still make the NCAA field, but we might (though I suspect still not) be one of the 4 play-in teams for an 11. I predict a 10 seed and no play-in.

Not if you play really good D. I like the ladies but really good D stifles most any offense. Just look at Vic's 2 Natty runner up teams. I think this team could've been better than it has been defensively.

This team averages giving up 59.1 points per game.

In 2018-2019 when we went 33-3 we averaged giving up 58.2 points per game.

And in 2019-2022 they averaged giving up just over 60 points a game.

The difference was offense. That 2018-2019 team scores over 80 points a game. We current average just over 71 points scored per game.

    Defense is not our problem.

Regardless of what stats say, this team doesn't come close to playing D like that team did and certainly doesn't play full court press like they did. If Vic keeps pressing 2nd half of ND Title game, I'm pretty sure we win Natty. Never understood why he quit pressing in 2nd half since that was how we built 13 pt halftime lead.

I actually thought that was going to be the only Natty we would win in any sport ever.
