Anyone know when Super Bulldog Weekend is?
I didn't see listed on the website when I searched.

Ole Miss gets one of the top 5 acts in all of music for their big weekend.
We get…..Brett Eldredge.
Good god we have to work on university branding. Ole Miss is viewed as a national program and 85% of the country could not tell you who our HC is.
What is really bad about this is that HARDY, an outspoken ardent supportive of State, has been asked to play on campus exactly ZERO times. He played Bulldog Bash on a damn away weekend so I am not counting it. The guy would do it for free and we will not even make the call. The Bulldog Initiative would be printing money with a HARDY concert instead of Brett Eldredge.

Personally I prefer Eldredge to Hardy. Eldredge is a huge baseball fan as well. Hardy sounds pretty bad live. The only reason Ole Miss got him is he just so happens to be the opening act for Wallen's tour. I seem to remember when Hardy was announced as the BB headliner a lot of folks on here lost their minds about that too. Someone is going to always have something to bitch about.

And HARDY may have said that he needed to stay with Morgan on tour that weekend. It just pisses me off that Ole Miss is able to get TWO NIGHTS of Morgan Wallen, who is the hottest act in country and maybe all of music at the moment, and we are stuck trying to get excited about a guy who I doubt could sell out Newell Grissom.

Hardy goes where Craig Wiseman tells him to go. Big Loud records. They own Morgan and Hardy. Hardy writes Morgan's songs.

And Craig Wiseman is the problem. He is an Ole Miss grad that grew up in Hattiesburg. So he doubly hates Mississippi State. He does not own Hardy as much as he owns Morgan but he holds a great deal of influence for sure.

I know Bailey Zimmerman is there the first night and at the crawfish fest on Sunday. We got tickets to that one once the price dropped. I do agree with you 100% that we should use HARDY as often as possible. Pretty much everyone that knows Wallen knows HARDY because they are really good friends. He'd be our ambassador like Wallen is for UT.

You are not wrong. Brett has some songs that have been hits. He just does not push the needle. And it is unfair to compare him to Wallen because NO ONE pushes the needle like that right now but I feel like we could have gotten someone that would have gotten some excitement from the students. Parker McCollum or Mitchell Tenpenny. Hell Riley Green would have had females from 6 states away lined up on Monday.
I say all that because no casual person is coming to a Brett Eldredge concert. A name like Riley Green would have gotten people to campus that would not step foot on campus under normal circumstances and hell maybe they realize what we all do that Starkville is a special place and The Dude on a SEC Weekend is something only two or three other stadiums in the country can replicate, pro or college.

You're right about that. He is really good. So is Tenpenny. Eldredge is ok, but not in the same class as those others you mentioned.

Sounds like a huge NIL $ revenue generator for one weekend.

I know we all have personal tastes, but you couldn't pay me enough to go watch Riley Green. He's on the same plane as Walker Hayes to me. Very much bro country. As far as college girls go, he's a much hotter name than Brett. I personally would rather listen to Eldredge sing a Shoney's menu than listen to anything Riley Green has ever put out. Just my personal preference. Edited to add, Ole Miss had him in the Grove last year.

How does the concert at Dudy Noble work? Will the concert start right after the game and everyone just stays in their seats? So if you don't have baseball tickets you don't go to the concert or you come after the game and stand? Will people be on the field for the concert or just in the stands?

My guess is that they will sell tickets to the concert separate the game. Just my guess though. I think the game is 2:30 so I would think the concert would start at 7 or 8. Be interesting to see how they construct the stage.

If Dan was still here, he would have gotten Journey.*******

His brother, Rex Wiseman, is a great guy. Still lives in Hattiesburg.
