    Mike Wright commits to State

    I am thrilled.

This is a late Christmas present to me.

And add Parson in there when he gets healthy and things look better. I fully expect Will to start all season though. I could see Wright getting some snaps during certain situations. And maybe Arnett will let the backup play in mop up duty.

I get he's inaccurate... BUT, I think he has a legit shot to start. This offense does not need a QB to stand and progress through 4 reads and the check down. From what I've seen of Barbay, passes are more about the OC spotting a weakness in the defense and calling a play to exploit it. soft corner? 8 yard out route. Safety comes up quick? Play action. LB will blitz? Slant behind him. These are passes that don't require air raid vs 8 man zone levels of accuracy. Especially with his legs requiring extra attention

He's an elite runner with size and his footwork is ATROCIOUS, which means there's a lot of room to become a more accurate passer.

Could be a possibility. With his running ability he needs to be utilized in some way.

Is anything from Vandy better than what we have? I just don't see it.

Well, currently he is filling an empty roster spot.... so yeah he's better than what we have now.

Well, until he committed we only had two QB's on the roster. One of whom is a freshman coming off of an injury in high school.

He's much better than Sawyer for sure.
"We will have no problem in handling Kentucky."-Turfdawg67. MSU suffered a 27-17 defeat in 2022 with 225 yards in total offense.

Our QB recruiting will take a significant decline.
