LSU is the clear #1 team.
We'll get where we deserve if we perform.

National Championship this year is LSU's for the taking. It's already bought and paid for. Let's see if they cash in.

No. 1 team has won it once since Super Regionals started. It's all about who you draw in the Supers and then what side of the bracket you are on in Omaha. LSU has as good of a chance as anyone no doubt though.
Back to us, we need to be AT WORST a 2 seed in a regional this year or Lemonis will have to make changes. If we have another year like last, it may be time to look for a new HC.

We have alot of potential on this team- it just needs to perform.
The standard at State is a Super appearance. We didnt make one last year. Need to get back in one asap

These are my MINIMUM requirements for a MSU Baseball Coach & Team:
1) Make the SEC Tourney..........Every Year.
2) Get a Regional Selection.......Every Year. (on the road or hosting, either!)
3) Host a Regional...................Once every 3 years.
4) Make a Super Regional.........Once every 3 years.
5) Make the CWS.....................Once every 5 years.
6) Win the NC.........................Once every 7-10 years.

I'd say hosting a regional needs to be an every other year thing. Especially with the portal being a thing now. Making a CWS needs to be once a recruiting cycle. Agree on everything else

In other words, you have arbitrary standards that we have never maintained in our history.
"After dealing with Ole Miss for over a year," he said, "I've learned to expect their leadership to do and say things that the leadership at other Division I schools would never consider doing and to justify their actions by reminding themselves that "We're Ole Miss.""

Use it as motivation. I want to be unranked following last year. We've done nothing to deserve a top 25 ranking yet. Go out and show them why we do deserve it.

Those should be the MINIMUM requirements for that Taj Mahal we just built.
-
If you expect a national title each decade, we're going to need a lot more than 2 Omaha appearances per decade.
-
Click bait article. Good job Kendall.
Oh and our standard is a Super Regional every year. Anything below that is a failure unless we win the SEC Tournament and even then it's a disappointment.
-
Super every year. Host every other.

I think this writer dude is objective- and evidence based for the most part.
Why would you rank a team that lost 11 of the last 12 games in the conference
D1 hyped up some MSU players last year like KC Hunt and Stinnett, they probably feel burned in that deal.

They can justify it that way. But that's also being disingenuous because they ranked our portal guys and class high.
I would imagine that a good bit of their business is from MSU, LSU, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Tennessee fans. Those are the teams that they are going to "create discussion" about.

You'd think D1 should know we lost our top 3 arms early in the season. All they do is baseball and should stay on top of developments like losing good pitchers.
